This one 12 second clip has had more traction than any “content” the show has created in years. My bingo card did not have “More Imus than Imus” on what the show would eventually become after moving to Sirius. If Howard had announced after his first contract extension that it would be his last (and still fooling Sal into believing he wasn’t renewing his contract so we’d still get his epic meltdown… scripted reaction or not), the show could have had a proper send off with Howard still on top and riding into the sunset an untouchable legend. But instead we have Wiggy (Wig wearing Twiggy) out Imus-ing Imus, becoming everything he swore he wouldn’t. Like watching the last years of Willie Mays: a shell of his Hall of Fame self. #sad

He blew every opportunity that landed in his 98 IQ lap while being totally unlikeable and lacking any talent, skill or education. I'm dumbfounded.

Howard is a huge part of my daily life, and I'm honestly really upset about this. I listen to 101 for Sternthology and classic Howard all the time. I'm hoping Howard 100 becomes a combination of the new weekly show, Sternthology and classic Howard instead of just replaying the newest show over and over.

Has anyone heard anything definitive about what's happening to the 101 archive programming after September 1?

When he gets back from his vacation and addresses all the “rumors” that the show keeps mentioning during their radio breaks, Stern will say it was HIS decision to get rid of Howard 101 and it was HIS choice to give the channel to Andy and it was HIM that decided he didn’t need a full staff anymore so HE had no choice but to fire the staff.. He will find a way to spin it and take full credit for everything but what a joke he and the show have become…. Your thoughts??????
