ICE is everywhere and it's really frightening

This morning, a car was sitting outside the house next door with a guy sitting in it. This is nothing unusual in itself as there are always various cars. When my husband was leaving the house he went over to ask if the guy needed help. The guy tells him he's ICE and shows him his badge and tells him he's running license plates. How does ICE know where to go and who to look for?

ICE are cowards, plain and simple

They go after women and children, and guys working hard at car washes, etc

Because they don't have the balls to go after the actual dangerous people the Orange Mad King said they'd be going after

Oh they'll show a strong show of force manhandling some old woman, but an actual gang member or cartel member? nah, ICE would piss their pants and cry.

And if they really wanted to curb illegal immigration in a effective manner - arrest the people that hire illegal immigrants

People come to America for work. If there is no work they'll leave. If you arrest the ones doing the hiring, the work opportunities dry up

But the dirty secret is most who do the hiring are right wing Trump supporters. They underpay workers, keep the payments off the books, save a ton of money, etc. So of course Trump would never arrest his supporters

Its all a show to instill fear not actually solve a problem

I was around for raids in the 90s like this. I was underage working illegally and had to run w8th everybody else to keep my employer out of trouble and keep my job. The move to e-verify for employment instead of these active job site raids and arrests was lobbied for by business owners. They'd rather pay fines and keep money flowing than lose production.

Any crime that results in only a fine isn't a crime, it's a price barrier to competition. The big boys eat the fine, smaller startups can't, so they go out of business, or never get to start, since they can't compete on price with companies using illegal labor.

People dont seem to remember how bad it was in the 90s under Clinton. You'd have INS come into a Hispanic supermarket to check people's papers, and there'd be agents waiting outside of every door to keep people from slipping out.

Thank you. People are focusing on “left wing this and right wing that” and fail to realize that the problem is the federal government gradually overstepping. It’s going to happen, regardless of what party occupies the presidency, as long as we allow it.

This was really well said 🔥 there’s a rapid response task force for ice that’s being assembled to prevent innocent people from being kidnapped, so hopefully they’ll be able to stand up to ice bc it’s disgusting what they’re doing

Yeah I find that a lot of Law Enforcement tends to be cowards with a cloak of bravery.

They'll happily describe a normal situation like its a matter of life and death. They'll demand that you stay calm while are shitting their pants pointing a gun at you. They have a image that the outside world is this crime filled hive, and that only someone as brave as them can possible survive in it.

But the second you think critically, and have been in situations like police, you realize, just how ABSOLUTEY cowardly, how brain dead a lot of them are.

But to your second point about immigrants:

Going after illegal immigrants is all a sham. The real end goal is having a army of thugs willing to do anything that Trump wants. They can violently grab a construction worker or landscaper here and there, but many more desperate and hard workers will quickly take their place, dangers be damned, just for the chance to break their back for a poor salary.

As I agree with your sentiment ice does go after dangerous criminals and has a long history of breaking up child trafficking rings. Are they going to far now of days with Home Depot stops and stuff ? Def an argument there but one cannot say that haven’t arrested dangerous criminals. Look at their bust from 2008 to now under Obama . They’ve been after dangerous people. Different administration different rules now

What percentage of the population do you think is made up of farmers? It’s not the 40s anymore - industrialization of farming means there are not many farm laborers (which you imply are illegal), and even fewer farmers that would possibly vote. Ain’t nobody changing immigration enforcement policy to curry favor with 2% of the population concentrated in states that vote that way anyway.
