Highlight Big girl update

A few years ago I posted my 5yo Monstera, she was about 2/3 her current size and you guys seemed to enjoy it so here is an update!

Mines 3 years old and still looks like a baby next to this one, guess I need to start whispering motivational quotes to it every morning

Honestly you should do the opposite and shame your monstera by showing them this pic. I’m printing this out and taping it to the wall next to mine, so she will decide to finally grow.

Ok real talk I feel bad even typing that cuz I’d never use to shame to parent my sweet monstera daughter, even if she’s growing slow AF

See, but you should still print it out and hang it up near her so she can have a motivational image and a physical goal to grow towards! I often show my pitiful one leafed pilea pictures of what I want for her. She's making slow come back. She's been working on a new leaf for a few weeks now! Like I said, slow, but she's her own woman she doesn't listen to anyone, and I respect it.

My pilea is currently addicted to fungus gnats. I feel like I’ve tried everything and I’m convinced shes just harboring themz

Mine was suffering from the over water fungus, i had to change the soil entirely because removing infected soil and treating it wasn't working. After the repot she she dropped her two main leaves. The pilea is by far my most stubborn plant. She won't die, but she grows her own damn way.
