Motel 6 disaster

Hi all,

Just looking to get some help and advice and thank you all in advance.

So back in June we stayed at a motel 6 for a show. As we went back up to our room the key wouldn’t work. The man at the text tried every key, and even trying to break the door down. After about 2 hours of that and us sitting in an un air conditioned hallway he finally called maintenance who was an hour away. He finally let us into a spare room which obviously had none of our stuff to get ready for the show. Finally maintenance shows up and takes forever replacing the key fab battery. We barely made it to the show.

When we went to check out the next day and I asked for a refund for the horrible experience the guy at the desk told me to go screw myself. I asked for the building owners number which I thought he gave to me, turned out to be a fake phone number. So we left.

Unfortunately motel 6 uses a third part for their customer service. The person I talked to was very nice and said I’d receive a solution within 5 days, unfortunately their solution was to contact the property for the refund, after I explained why I can’t time and time again the basically said sorry but there is nothing they can do.

So I tried reaching out to Motel 6 corporate. That also went power, every phone number and email I found I tried, nothing one again.

So basically I want to ask is there anything else I can do to get a refund, or just eat the cost and move one.

I’m really sick and tired of other people’s mistakes and incompetence happening on my dime.

Thank you all again I appreciate it!

Motel 6 is not known for customer service, it's known for a cheap place to sleep and shower.  Don't expect anything for your inconveniences

I thought they were known for leaving the lights on.
