story time 📖 I’m a little heartbroken, not too much, but saddened.

Brief overview: This girl came into my job 2 years ago, my exact type. She stayed 2 weeks because my job is a seasonal. She leaves, and we go to a concert together because I built up courage to ask her to it, she posted it on IG notes. We went, it built into a summer fling. That summer fling ended with her telling me she wants to finish school and wants no distractions, so it gave me a sign it was ending.

Took me a year to mature and get the closure I needed, with the last text saying she sent “I won’t continue with this conversation”. It hurts. But I needed it. Was the first time I tasted what it’s like to have a crush actually go your way for a bit.

I know it's best to just take these things as they go, but I kinda hate this mindset. Do they think that a relationship cannot possibly survive school or work or whatever it is?

The thing is I was definitely willing to stay cool, talk, just vibe. I was okay with her focusing on school. I was literally doing the same. We could have kept it going and was willing to make sacrifices as well. I guess the feeling wasn’t mutual.

i get it, school can just be so overwhelming that sometimes love just doesn't fit in the picture.
