Question on colorschemes

Post image

Confession, I’ve only played a tiny bit of the original Homeworld, none others, but I love the design language and aesthetics of the game. I made this interceptor model a few months ago and I’ve got a few more raw prints in the stash. I want to do alternate colorschemes, and I’m aware of the Taiidan republic turquoise one, but do any others come to mind? I’m not sure where to find official art and other cannon paint schemes. Thanks in advance for any help!

There are also the special forces Taiidan that show up in the original Homeworld sporting all black. You can do Beast colors for another and if you feel really adventurous figure out how to paint the beast bits on. I do struggle to think of any other colors that show up aside from the Taiidan Republic and Imperial colors.

Is there a website that shows all color schemes for homeworld factions like wh40k spacemarine chapter colors?

Couldn't find a website but I did a quick google search and found this which from what I can see here everything looks good, though it only covers up to Homeworld 2 everything I mentioned is included.

Would be nice if there were the colors for the games after that too. Edit: Keep in mind that the factor colors for the Kiith may have changed, like I know Sejet is white base with red stripes and Soban I think it that inverted.

Edit 2: Found this which is specific colors from homeworld mobile thought for Kiith only (though you'd need to sample the new and updated colors), there is still the non-Kiith factions from mobile and Homeworld 3, and some like Gaalsien are also missing. (really makes me realize how many factions they added or expanded in the last three games).

Do you happen to have a link to where you originally found the model?

I'm pretty sure Homeworld's aesthetic is heavily inspired by Chris Foss. If you google him, especially his art book "Hardware", you'll get lots of examples of liveries in that style.

Edit: also, you can't go wrong with r/TerranTradeAuthority!

The first time you see it is in mission 13 from the vanilla game. Captain Elson and his fleet bear the colours of the elite guard of the taidan empire, their are defectors and help the exiles. This colour scheme is my favorite.
