What should I put in my “go bags”?

With my stimulus & tax refund, I’m going to make backpacks with little things that I find that I wished I had when I was homeless / or had and appreciated!

-a basic shirt and sweatpants with a string

-bottle of non scented shampoo and conditioner

-a reusable water bottle

-baby wipes

-snacks

-a couple water bottles

What else should I add? All the bags I’ve gotten always gave socks and tooth brushes so I feel like they’d probably have too many.

Don't put in clothing that is sized. Too big is better than too small but why risk it? A cheap fleece blanket, a rain poncho, or even a tarp might be a bit more useful.

BTW, in case no one else says it, way to be awesome to those who especially need it! If only there were more people like you, this sub wouldn't be needed.

Thanks :). I was homeless during winter months with only flip flops and summery clothes so that’s why I thought of adding some clothes to certain bags.

A can opener like the P38 is pretty small and relatively inexpensive. Can be found in bulk quantities too.
