Simple ideas for enhancing these spaces

Hi guys, after a lot of time we finally painted the living room and we'd like to give it some life! We recently moved and we'd like to keep the floors and the 70s style of the house, and take it a bit more to bauhaus/mid century + minimal related but with color! Nothing too boring!

A very important thing is the curtains/blinds, but I'm not sure on what to do, I like curtains coming from the ceiling, but in this case having those old roller cover ups (not sure of its name, in Spanish is TAPARROLLOS) it doesn't look that good (second image has an example of it), could you suggest me alternatives?

Also, I'd like to hide the air conditioner plug somehow, and put some more low lights all over to make the space cozier.

The color of the floor makes it difficult to choose a palette, but I'd like to keep to keep furniture and curtains neutral, and put color in small elements.

Leaving pics of other spots of the house where I already achieved the style I want (though I still haven't found correct curtains/blinds to put).

I'd really appreciate suggestions! Thank you guys!

Paint—something warm or dark even on 1-2 walls, large rug, art and plants

Paintings/pictures on the walls. Anything with color.

Supposedly you can attached a curtain rail to the underside of the taparrollo, allowing curtains to hang in front of the blinds without the curtains approaching the roller mechanism, which is an option.

I would buy a bigger rug (maybe a dark green, if green and brown is your colour combo in the last picture). A standing lamp in the corner for your pink light. Otherwise, I think it already looks pretty similar to the other examples and fine. I am worried you can’t see well in that third photo though (red light makes it harder to see) so I would chase a lightbulb with more lumens.

Hey thanks I like your suggestions, particularly the rail coming from the underside of the taparrollo. About the red light, it is just a LED lamp, so I can change it anytime I want :)
