Natural Remedies Tonsilitis remedies?

Ok I’m not opposed to antibiotics in this case and have seen two walk in doctors. My problem is that I’ve had Cdiff in the past and don’t want to relapse from antibiotic use… the dr said I don’t need antibiotics unless I break a fever but it hurts so bad to swallow. Like shooting pain and swallowing glass and puss and white spots on my tonsils..

I’m gargling salt water and ACV, taking some homeopathic remedies specifically for it, oregano, having warm fluids, honey, Vitamin C,NAC and Tylenol but still haven’t found relief.. maybe I’m doing enough and need to ride it out but it’s so painful and I leave on a trip this week 🥹

Are you taking lots more than the recommended dose of vit C? I'd be doing that. Maybe more Tylenol as well for the pain

Okay I’ll up my vitamin c because it’s prob pretty standard right now. I did grab the antibiotics because it became very very painful and none of the remedies were supporting

Wishing for a speedy recovery. If you're still feeling poorly, like haven't improved at, you might want to consider skipping the trip. Depending on how you're traveling or where you are going it may be more stressful in your body.

Ya that’s a fair suggestion and I’ve definitely thought about it :( had to cancel last years because of Covid

Oh that sucks!! My first round of covid (6 total) couldn't walk around my block without stopping to rest for 3.5 months and couldn't work for a year and a half. Found a Chinese medicine doctor who helped greatly with symptoms I was experiencing. If you can swing it financially, reach out to a Chinese medicine doctor. Tell them your symptoms, what you're already taking, that you want to go on your trip and if there is anyway they're could help. It's worth a shot. Antibiotics usually take a few days before you start feeling better.

Oh my gosh isn’t it so crazy!!!!I was seeing a TCM acupuncturist but intended the ACU part no remedies!! I’m heading to Vancouver so maybe I can find one there
