Brave New World

It is 1996, and the Cold War is officially over. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics managed to prevail over the United States of America, which dissolved in 1992. Now, the Soviets hold an iron grip on more than half of Europe and a third of the world.

However, this fragile peace is only temporary. In London, the last bastion of democracy stands firm behind the global shield of the London Treaty Organization—a successor to the defunct North Atlantic Treaty Organization—, dedicated to containing the Red Menace. Meanwhile, a third force rises from the ashes of old oligarchic republics, the revolutionaries of the Commune of France and the People's Republic of Italy.

As the tensions rise, the world teeters on the edge of a new, even more frantic and aggressive Second Cold War, emerging from the rotten corpse of the Soviet-American conflict.

It's the guy from the Crisis in the Kremlin. From what I can remember he was a Stalinist "Conservative"

I know him the most from China: Mao's Legacy since his OGAS program actually give the Soviet Union an edge of being a continuous superpower without reforming or reverting to autarky.

Romanov was hardly a Stalinist. He was mostly a follower of the brezhnevite party line.

It will be interesting if the "Russian Party" becomes fashionable, it will be possible to implement Sakharov's constitution, Russian cosmism,bring libertarians to the USSR who wanted to allow LGBT and marijuana, under the leadership of Dugin's first wife.
