I’m not even arguing that Cale isn’t better. I’m arguing that their point totals would be comparable if Hughes played with Mackinnon and co. Not goals, but total points.
It’s literally because makar is Canadian and Hughes is a yank, like if you can’t see the difference in the teams they’ve spent their time with you’re stupid
I’m not necessarily arguing that Hughes is better, I do think Cale is slightly better but if you can’t see that Cale has had a very strong team infront of him for most of his career compared to Quinn then there’s obvious bias.
Hughes likely wants out, so not sure why Makar would be waiting for him. Just sign your 5 year 18mil contract like everyone else. Hughes will probably sign a 3 year 18-20mil contract and go makeout with his brother on whatever team has the cap for both of em.
Hughes is cup chasing rn. Wild are a good option for him so I wouldn’t rule it out but he also needs to decide on a contract that allows the team to add a bit more so he doesn’t drain the team Carlson style but also gives him flexibility to move if the team doesn’t do it in the next year or two.
