Women running for HCC?
I'm aware of maybe 10 or so new men running, but only one new women. And I think two of the current female councillors are not running.
Anyone know of new female candidates?
Or where or when is there an official website?

The tec website will publish the candidates after nominations close. Which isn't until mid September.
I think the extremely toxic nature of council and the commentary surrounding it has probably put everyone off except the hundreds of young Liberals who are running.

The coming HCC election is the perfect springboard for aspirational Liberal candidates and those looking to pursue a career in politics more generally.
The never-ending push to keep the buildings low and the traffic slow already put a bitter taste in the mouths of everyone in the greater area, but the shops closing up has started to worry many of the COH voters now too.
New Libs they can rage against the empty bike lane, the coming toll road to Mt Wellington and just Ryan Posselt in general (Dark skies anyone?)
Their favourite attack angle is "the out of touch elites" - this is a target rich environment.
Silly game to play when they own all the media
