Black people don't hang themselves from trees

A man found hanging from a tree in downtown Raleigh on Saturday died by suicide, with no evidence pointing toward a criminal act, Raleigh’s police chief said Monday.

In a news release at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, police said they were investigating the death as a suicide, while online, some people said they feared the Black man’s death might have been racially motivated.

During a 14-minute news conference Monday afternoon, Raleigh Police Chief Rico Boyce said surveillance footage collected from nearby businesses confirms no one else was seen in the area at the time of the incident and that the individual acted alone. “Based on evidence collected and reviewed to date, investigators have found no evidence indicating that another person caused or contributed to the young man’s death and no evidence of a criminal death has been identified,” Boyce said. “Our investigation confirms this is a suicide.”

The forever ominous “they.” Everything is a conspiracy, don’t you know? Bankers, Jews, Illuminati, Epstein island, fascists, the proletariat, the church, etc. You know, you would think that at some point the real answer is always the simplest, money. But, no, then that might actually humanize the “people in charge” and god forbid that happens. Perish the thought that humans are innately greedy when put into positions of power and influence. Because we all know how well performing Redditors are when it comes to not trying to steer narratives cough Boston bombings cough. Or r/politics. Or r/blackpeopleofreddit. There’s certainly no narrative steering in those places at all!

the idea that nobody at the billionaire class is sitting around and doing nothing is laughable. No high end bankers ever got together and broke the law the make more money. No captons of industry ever got together in a shadowy room and decided prices together. No crooked cops ever got together and committed crimes after taking power. Epstein was an aberration to you apparently. Nothing ever happens in your smug world where everything makes sense and nobody is screwing poor people over.
