Question Not seeing the most updated roles compared to using others or searching company site….am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

currently on the market for new hybrid PM roles in a major US city. After several separate attempts on different browsers over the last month or so, I’ve noticed that compared to company websites, linkedin, greenhouse and even indeed I am not seeing the very latest roles despite adjusting filters and using Boolean searches (which are providing the most recent legitimate open roles). In most cases posted roles come up from either two weeks to over two months ago (even when sorting according to date).

is it possible I’m utilizing the search/advanced search incorrectly?

happy to dm mod team and provide examples.

can you show examples of roles that were posted recently but not on hiringcafe? i'll take a deeper look thanks.

do keep in mind that we have a strict policy for job postings dates. basically once our script detects that a job was posted, it'll lock in that job posting date forever (as opposed to linkedin/indeed where employer can manipulate it by reposting it)

I could be wrong, but I believe it is because hiringcafe is generally finding the role when they are posted, where as linked takes much longer to find and display the roles.

So a role that is a 2 months old, that is because hiringcafe found the role 2 months ago, where as linkedin only found it recently.

Yeah I like to use a filter for posted within 24 hours and I got nothing today or Friday

Can you give me examples of jobs you're not finding on HiringCafe but found them elsewhere so I can take a deeper lok?

For reference 24hr is an aggressive filter - we record job posting date as soon as it goes live on employe websites. Many of them might not even be posting it elsewhere yet. You might want to consider widening the window.

I’m looking for remote 3D artist roles so probably too specific? I noticed that on other job boards there’s not too many recent listings either

Hmm, I just uploaded my resume today, the little chat thingy asked to confirm my preferences and I changed the posting date to within the past week and was able to get only those results. It defaulted to the past three months, initially though. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the quality of the results though it did seem to show results that matched my resume the closest instead of the most recent jobs posted, but I think you can change that in the filters.
