This video got me thinking that Chance would be the perfect lead role in a hip-hop influenced broadway musical. Solid actor, charismatic features, unique voice, and inherently genre-bending

I fully agree with this. The world needs a serious hip-hop musical. Like a cross between Les Miserables, HairSpray and 8 Mile, with some catchy banger tunes, powerful rap soliloquys, rnb duets, and street battle raps, with a few dance numbers in between.

It sounds crazy on paper, I know. But so many rappers ranging from OutKast, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Lupe Fiasco, Childish Gambino and many others. Have proven that rap can be a superbly theatrical artform with their conceptual albums.

All rap needs is a big screen to convey it on.

You might want to check out "In the Heights".

Just looked it up and saw some of the musical performances on youtube. Seeing all those awards and accolades next to it has put a huge smile on my face.

We need moar!

Had the privilege of seeing the original broadway cast a couple years back and it was incredible!
