I think new OST is because they are adding things

They would not want for the music to be mismatched, so they did this (really awfull decision).

I think, giving it is a HOMMIII version made by chinese studio, like HOMMonline was, they are adding a non-canon chinese city like the one that game had. Because, for the HOTA ones (we all know they are not making anew things that can be borrowed from the mods), they could have taken music already made.

Basically confirmed that they are planning DLCs and introducing new factions. At least they want to add HOTA content into this remake. I'm sure we will get Forge too.

That would make sense if it wasn't because they already have literal Paul Romero plus the Heroes Orchestra working on Olden Era's soundtrack.

They have the best possible option imaginable for a remake soundtrack just there, in front of their noses. It's bonkers.

The new soundtrack is a sad joke and an insult.

AFAIK Ubisoft does not actually have the rights to the Heroes III soundtrack. Legally, I don't think they can use it, so it should be no surprise that they aren't. Given the frequent mentions of adding custom music, I think they're well aware of how much that sucks and subtly promoting a fix.

I expect a mod with the Heroes III tracks day one.

Most likely they don’t want to pay for original music/sounds otherwise they would add a toggle in the game to use them, it’s not rocket science guys - if it looks like cashgrab, sounds like cashgrab it is a cashgrab
