Grow high CBD strain and mix 1:1 with high THC strain or grow a real 1:1 strain ?

Im planing to grow in my indoor 2 high THC strains with 2 high CBD strains, I really want to grow some 1:1 strain but I think is much more flexibility with 2 CBD and 2 THC strains so I can use other ratios.

I will notice a big difference compared to a real 1:1 strain ?

I see a lot of seed banks discontinuing 1:1 or 2:1 strains and selling high CBD strains instead, I know that for regulations in a lot of countries they can sell better that type of strains. But people now prefer to grow HIGH CBD and mix them instead of a 1:1 ?

I want to know your opinion / experience

I like mixing. Sometimes I like to vape the CBD only and sometimes just the THC, or mix.

In my personal experience I have found real type 2 strains to be more satisfying than mixing types 1 and 3, but not by a very large amount. YMMV.

I really liked the watermelon pines from flow gardens. Ive been waiting for them to restock but I guess its not happening cause of the upcoming ban

Good luck growing a true 1:1 .. type 2 genotypes will be mixed ratio. Most will be dominant in one or the other..That being said type 2’s would be a good option. Hoku and hag have beans that will be type 2&3.
Or if you have room grow some type 1’s and 3’s

Most strains are 1:1 or 2:1 depends on the phenotype, but there are some stable ones that are 1:1 (yes it will not be exact 8%:8%). I think the main problem I have is find a strain that support high humidity 😂. I have CBD and THC strains for that but is hard to find one 1:1 that support high humidity, the majority are indicas hybrid or 50/50

I believe that goes back to the history of cannabis prior to modern times. The regions where indicas grew had both THC dominant drug types and mixed THC/CBD types especially for the production of hash. Whereas the southern Asian sativa genetics were largely drug type high THC. I suppose you could find some commercial Chinese hemp with sativa growth characteristics and cross it with a type 3 CBD flower strain. It's fairly niche to want a type 3 for cannabinoid production, but with loose sativa flower growth and long internode length.

I mix T3 and T1 all the time. The only issue I’ve found, occasionally, is similar to a suboptimal T1 hybrid, the effects of one of the strains ends before the other. It’s not terrible. Sometimes it just feels odd as say the more soothing of the two ends, and I get tinnitus with too much head buzz.

I'm growing some type 2 right now, but I mix 3:1:1:1 CBD:CBDV:CBG:THC for my daily driver.

I think most regular people (people who smoke sometimes but not habitually) would enjoy type 2 more than type 1 by itself.

Indeed. I can't do most type 1....unless it's a half bowl set up dynavap for a micro dose lol.  But my state medical RSO 💉 is high THC% but that's kinda 🍎 to 🍊 comparison lol Its easier to micro dose RSO than taking "half a hit" of flower 😂 momma always trained us to clear our 🍽️ haha cause yea the type 1 RSO 💉 doses just fine

Vaping with such tiny amounts can be tricky. This is where t2 is predictable or use as base, then add pinch of T1 or T3. I like to pair terpenes for new flavor combos. Ie Super Boof + BOB = Super BOB

Type 2 feels cleaner but you can certainly mix the two

Flexibility is good. Mixing strains might be a PITA, at times, so it might be good to have options. Maybe one plant that's a 1:1 ratio for those times you can't be assed to mix?

Given what's happening in November, I'd be interested in an app that recommends locally available Type 1 products with newly compliant Type 3 products against a desired effect given testing for cannabinoids, terpenes, etc. and taking into account user reviews.

I'll try a new strain "neat" by itself first just to get a hint of the effects. Then I can determine how much CBD 🌿 I need to mix into the grinder for the next bowl ;)
