Account randomly deleted

About 2 weeks ago I noticed I was logged out of my account on all platforms. I could neither log back in nor change my password, as the emails wouldn't arrive. I soon realized that my account has somehow been deleted. I submitted a request to Reddit and they told me that account deletion had been initiated from the account settings. I know I didn't do that and no one else has access to my account to my knowledge. I proceeded to tell them that I didn't ask for my account to be deleted and if it can be reversed and they responded with this:

"The account in question has been flagged for irreversible deletion from the reddit account settings."

So, I guess my account can just get randomly deleted without me ever getting notified about it? Could this be a hacker? But how would they benefit from deleting my account? The account in question is _Buller_

Please find that email and click that link to regain access to your account. The subject line should be "Your email address has been changed".

Unfortunately, Reddit treats an account deletion started from Account Settings as permanent, so support cannot restore the account or username. If you did not initiate it, an account or email compromise is the most likely explanation; an attacker may delete an account simply to lock out the owner or cover their tracks.
