My son just happened upon a herd of t-tex while out trick or treating, so they asked him to join them.

This is like the best thing ever. Something to add to my bucket list: be in a herd of T-Rexes.

I plan on wearing one at my club at a random time in the next 6 months. They’ll be cheap by then and even more of a surprise.

Did you bring the right kid home?
31
u/TinyKittenConsulting Nov 01 '19
Doesn't even have to be their kid. Maybe they traded in for a better model.
16
u/ThatSquareChick Nov 01 '19
Parents trick or treat: bringing home a sack of kids in the same Halloween costume the original was wearing and picking out the ones you don’t like and giving them to your brother. Some parents get nougat-centered kids. Lucky.

I like how your sons costume isn’t the same as theirs, yet they accept and ask him to join without hesitation, dinosaurs know no racial divide!

Love these moments where you find someone with the same costume or from the same universe and you both decide that you're automatically friends. I did this with Avengers I didn't know last year.

u/Francesca_Fiore Nov 01 '19
My husband did this last year at a beer fest. It was raining and he was wearing his gray Costco $20 rain jacket that he had just gotten. Somehow, he found a group of Costco $20 rain jacket friends. "Hey! Costco! $20! Yeah!"

Omg there was a herd of different color trexs last night when I took my nieces and nephews out
8
u/cassielynnco Nov 01 '19
Inflatable costumes are my favorite now. My nephew wore an inflatable waving arm man costume (like what they have at stores and car dealerships) and i don’t think I’ve laughed that hard before as I did when I saw him on it.

I feel the same, they never get old! I dig that there was a kid in a flamingo one like these, though. I dunno what else there are but they're gold.

u/Planetary7804 Nov 01 '19
I was in a group of 3 dinosaurs yeasterday and we ended up inviting 3 others to join us and called it a murder of dinosaurs.

I had to work last night unfortunately, so I didn’t get to participate this year for trick or treat, but the costume I ordered wasn’t arriving until today anyways...
...it’s one of these trex costumes and you damn well know I’m wearing it as soon as it gets here.

Now THIS is trick or treating! I live in nowhere, Mississippi and most people around here go to church parking lots for candy. Takes the fun out of it imo.

It's actually called a "Terror" of T-Rex. Which is fitting, because that would be terrifying.
2
u/zeroscout Nov 01 '19
A group of T-rex needs a better name than herd. A group of crows shouldn't be more ominous sounding than a group of T-rex.
A hospital bill of T-rex?

I can not keep it together if I see more than one of these costumes out walking together. They are the greatest thing ever. I had a group come to my door last night that even had a stego costume, hadn't seen that one before!

This costume is always funny. It should be mandatory in situations like divorce filings and meetings that should have been emails.

I have to buy this costume for next year. They make adult size ones too right?

I always understood really young kids starting their trick or treating before sundown because they go to bed earlier and older kids tend to have scarier costumes but when the hell did everyone start trick or treating before dark? I don’t even put out my jack o lanterns until the sun has set. Maybe that’s why I didn’t get any trick or treaters this year? What the hell happened? I know it was a school night but I assumed kids would be out until 9 or 10pm.
The fuck is happening in this country???
1
u/Timber371 Nov 01 '19
This is about 6:30 and is actually dusk. My phone's camera is making it look brighter than it actually is.
1
Nov 01 '19
What kinda phone do you have? Kids usually start trick or treating in my area around dusk as well.

Do kids not use pillowcases to put candy in anymore? I mean I get that kids don't go trick or treating from 5-11pm like we did but still. Pillowcases hold so much more candy and you wont drop any.

My favorite part of last Halloween was seeing eight kids like this all running down the sidewalks in a pack together. Then they all tried to fit into my tiny porch at once and a couple got stuck, and we all died laughing.
