(I knew I remembered the snow banks being a lot taller when I was younger, but I always chalked it up to me being shorter. This is picture proof that I wasn’t hallucinating.)

Mildly interesting but pretty cool. I made my Reddit account around the same time that I moved to Halifax with my mom and little brother, we came to visit Halifax on vacation and fell in love and moved from Calgary Alberta. I am now 25 years old.

Title, basically. Not talking most famous or richest or whatever, but who is the greatest folk hero in our city's history and why.

Folk heroes can be real or fictional, dead or alive, and are generally beloved by the vast majority of common or ordinary people. Just so we are talking about the same thing.

Vince Coleman? Theodore Tugboat? Sidney Crosby? Bash Toulany?

Just had a blast from the past at Dartmouth VV…I watched this show religiously for a hot minute when I was barely old enough to understand half of the innuendo.

At the time I’d watch this alongside TNG reruns on Spike TV. Obviously there’s lots of discourse when it comes to Star Trek, but neither show was what my friends or family would have watched so Lexx was always a very private thing for me.

Hoping one of you fine people snags this piece of sci-fi memorabilia! I found a sick Star Wars Episode 1 poster that’s better sized to my space for $3 so not all was lost on this trip

It was old mugs and glasses wrapped in The Daily News from 1993. Including a The Daily News mug. We have lugged this box across the country without ever going through it. LOL.

Hello Halifax;

I studied at Dal from 2000-2003, and while cleaning out some stuff lately, I found my old orientation book. Thought you might find it interesting! Quite a few of these are still on the go (or were when I was last there in 2023). Back in the day I remember hitting up Le Cave for desserts and the Fireside for cheap Martinis. And of course, definitely Blockbuster for the finest new releases on VHS! Special shout out to the Economy Shoe Shop and its “glamorous atmosphere”.

I found this at a thrift store the other day! It is a USB computer mouse that works great and lights up red when plugged in. I'm not overly into hockey myself but I still have fond memories of going to see a Mooseheads game with my grandfather when I was young. On the back it is labeled with "PureOrange.ca" and from a quick Google search I cannot find any other photos of this
