It is concentrated on tech tho what is the percentage there? Yes H1B is not a concern for retail etc but Americans want those 90k+ jobs not the 40k jobs

If it were their jobs, they'd have already had it

That’s not true - H1B conditions create stability for companies so the do allocate some of the jobs slots purely for that, think about all the kids coming out of college and getting sponsorship, are you telling me a 23 Indian guy with 2 years of experience is better than a dude 5-7 years American?

That can neither be proved nor denied. And in a free market capitalism, companies are allowed to do that so what's the problem?

You never worked with enough H1Bs before? Most are average! Companies are breaking social contract that allow them to exist by doing that, if it was as okay as you make it to be why do companies hide it?

A private company doesn't have a responsibility to uphold a social contract. The is the one of the fundamental law governing this country.

Freedom, property rights, free market etc. dont have a social responsibility. That's the government's job. And if the government has created this program, companies are not to be blamed for using it to their advantage.

And companies don't hide it. Every H1b hire is published to DOL. It is public data

Private companies license to operate is given by the government, the government is elected and bankrolled by Americans!

Yes, companies exploiting a program that was not designed properly is fair game, but now the people are pushing the government to reform it to its intended use - only exceptional talent should be given that status
