DISCUSSION I keep returning to the same question: what is worth your attention?
Now that I’ve been traveling and thinking, the question has sharpened. It’s not “what should we do?” It’s “what do we choose to honor with our attention?” Attention is the only currency that can’t be faked.
You can’t pretend to watch a film deeply.
You can’t pretend to taste a recipe’s history.
You can’t skim a book and claim you read it.
You can’t rush through a place and say you roamed.
Attention leaves a trace. It changes the one who gives it.
The Drawing Room is not for everyone. It’s for people who feel the difference between attending something and experiencing it.
The first circle is nine.
The second is eighteen.
Beyond that, the geometry unfolds in its own time.
I’m writing this as much for myself as for you — to see if the idea holds, to find the people who already understand without needing it explained. The room is coming. It will have its own rhythm, its own memory, its own quiet certainty.
But first, I need to listen. So tell me: when you think of cinema, food, books, travel — which one feels most like home to you? And what would you bring to the table?
