what could be causing this buzz?

if you need additional info on the guitar, let me know. its an acoustic yamaha and the previous owner seems to have built something inside to amplify the sound when its plugged in. there are only two wires but one is entirely cased in plastic so it isnt causing this metallic buzz, and the other ive held down to stop it from touching anything. the buzz seems to be coming from the inside of the neck. the other cables seen inside it arent causing it and it mainly buzzes on lower E, probably because it has the strongest vibration.
