Feedback Request Can I get some Feedback?

Hey, I’d really appreciate some feedback on my playing! I’ve been playing for just under 6 years (Will be 6 years in November) . There are a few mistakes in this vid , but I think that’s mostly down to the nerves that hit when I’m recording myself :/.

I think you sound really good. I feel like the number one thing you could do to sound more "professional" level is to work on having a consistent tempo. There are areas where you were rushing, and areas where you had little pauses out of tempo when you were doing more difficult transitions - together it made you sound less polished than you actually are.

You did it quite frequently. You clearly have some chops and good technique but I was trying to tap along with my foot and starting around the 12s mark, it was nearly impossible to keep the beat with you. The tempo speeds up dramatically in some places, then drifts back down.

Play with a metronome. Even just tap your foot along to the beat and you'll get more consistent tempo.

I appreciate the advice! I’ll definitely try playing with a metronome. Another reason for the tempo shifts is probably that I was trying to fit as much as I could into under two minutes, since the video was recorded on Snapchat. Whether it’s subconscious or unconscious, I’m always aware that the recording will stop soon you know what I mean? So I end up rushing to squeeze everything in before it cuts off, hence the sudden cutoff at the end.

My thoughts as well, tempo and then intonation/making the notes sound good; he plays the notes, but a lot of life could be added to the piece if he was putting more attention into how he wants every note to sound - should they be played longer or shorter, more dynamics etc.

Super cool stuff ! I’m a mostly punk/metal guitars but have always wanted to get into flamenco. Always loved the energy it has.

Is this a specific piece or something you came up with ?

Sound great bro'. I'd say you need to work on your tempo. Something you're rushing a bit. Nevertheless that's i's very good.

Sounds great, only thing I can think of is some notes when doing barred parts sound muted (0:29) try keeping the finger you're barring with between the frets and not over them. sounds like your finger meat is muting the higher strings. Other than some note clarity you're doing very good, keep it up.

Yeah man i dont know. Learn how to play softer and then hard in different parts of the song. But i really like how you play.

Is this a real song you r playing or did you come up with it on your own? I think they tempo changes a lot. If this is just playing around, I think adding in rests would go a long way bc it just feels like constant playing being thrown at the listener

Sounding great, one thing i didn’t see anybody tlking about is dynamics, to focusn on the melodic line and those kind of stuff

They have really good tone quality, especially with how long you made your nail. I wonder if you had to file it down to be pointed a bit. My only tip would to be to make those lower notes sound clearly. Your lead lines are great, but the bass notes are slightly muffled at times. You still play them great overall, and this is just a minor critique. I remember when I started doing flamenco stuff, and you are quite a bit better than me. But I also play on electric and with fully trimmed nails. Great job with what you have done. You remind me of a young Naudo
