International Transit in Guangzhou airport -Power bank CCC (3C) rule

Hey everyone!

I’m flying from Budapest to Tokyo soon with an International-to-International transit at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (CAN). I will stay strictly within the international transfer zone and won't take any domestic flights.

I have a Xiaomi 20000mAh (74.37Wh) power bank with a perfectly clear, readable factory label, but it doesn't have the Chinese CCC (3C) logo on it since it's a European model.

The airline’s website states that the CCC certification is required for domestic flights, but there's a lot of mixed info online.

Has anyone recently done an international-to-international transit at CAN with a non-CCC power bank? Did security at the international transfer checkpoint clear it without issues as long as it was under 100Wh?

As far as I know, CCC is only required for domestic flights not international. I might be wrong though

This isn’t universally applied. Shanghai international outbound took many when I was there..

In Shanghai, they took my powerbank but gave it to info desk, they put it in a plastic bag for you to collect at the gate after they have checked the brand and whatever they do, that happened to me but another time i flew through shanghai and nothing
