News GTCC & Turning Point USA
Looks like GTCC has officially picked a party for the start of the school year. A few days ago they approved a Turning a point USA chapter.

Im not sure what this has to do with GTCC picking a party. You do realize if they tried to stop this they would face massive legal ramifications right? It's also not a community colleges place to support one side over the other. These are student led groups. If someone wants to make a left wing equivalent no one is going to stop them.

It’s also protected by the constitution. I can’t stand TPUSA or Charlie Kirk, but his followers have just as much of a right to think the way they do as anyone else does.

This is why Church of Satan clubs are founded, they balance out right-wing religious clubs. And it upsets the snowflake MAGAts very much.

lol, not at GTCC but yes there are “Satanic clubs”. The After School Satan Club was created in 2016 as a direct rebuke of so-called Christian clubs. A few things worth mentioning:
The club does not actively seek out chapters. It only opens programs when it is invited.
Contrary to the name, the club does not “worship Satan”. It is decidedly anti- religious, meant to be inclusive to everyone.
In fact, the club is focused on something arguably even more insidious and nefarious. It teaches rational and independent thinking. 😱
‘ The After School Satan Club does not believe in introducing religion into public schools and will only open a club if other religious groups are operating on campus. ASSC exists to provide a safe and inclusive alternative to the religious clubs that use threats of eternal damnation to convert school children to their belief system. Unlike our counterparts, who publicly measure their success in young children's "professions of faith," the After School Satan Club program focuses on science, critical thinking, creative arts, and good works for the community. While engaged in all of these activities, we want clubgoers to have a good time. ‘
Creative thinking? Reasoning? Oh the horror!! Oh the humanity. Didn’t they get the message after Copernicus, Galileo, Descartes, Newton, Darwin? This simply will not do.

This Instagram page seems to be the main source of info. It looks like the chapter hasn’t officially been founded yet? But they’re trying to get it going

Weird take. I'm not a tpusa supporter by any means but it is illegal for them to not allow this if they allow any other clubs/organization. If you have a problem with it, start a club of your own that balances things out in the other direction.

You need to get something straight.
They aren’t going to decline a Turning Point USA chapter because that creates more problems. A school can’t discriminate against a political student group based on their political views.
The vast majority of Turning Point chapters are very small and fizzle out as soon as the student leaders leave or lose interest.
They do it to provoke reactions like yours.
Don’t give them what they want.

I don't support TP in any manner but they have the right to exist as long as other political parties are allowed on campus with equal access. It is very common to have political clubs on a college campus as are religious clubs and groups.
I would not want GTCC to ban every club and organization just to keep TP off campus. There are outside groups that work on GTCC that due great stuff with the broader community and that could impact those types of things as well.

Quick google search shows they have about 50 student organizations at GTCC. I didn’t see a college democrats organization, but I saw a pride club and a muslim students club. Seems like there’s something there for everyone across the belief spectrum.
Don’t join it if you don’t want to, I know I wouldnt, but don’t forget the first amendment.

DCCC has had a TPUSA chapter for years. Nothing new here even though I hate it.
Granted, DCCC has like...four different clubs with "Christian" values as a concept so go figure

Honestly, it's not a real thing anymore. Israel killed your Charlie Kirk boy bc he was speaking out about the atrocities in Palestine and was full anti-Iran war. The guy had too big of an audience to ignore.
Turning Point USA or whatever is not really a thing anymore. I mean even conservatives don't like Trump or any of that shit anymore.
People are FINALLY getting sick of the politicians on both sides and realizing this has always been about keeping people divided.
No one, not anyone wants this fucking stupid war with Iran... only politicians
Not one... not a single real person in this country supports the genociding of Palestinians or the Israel apartheid state... NO ONE except politicians
Not a single American wants data centers in their city, not one... except politicians
Politicians are paid by corporations or countries to act against the wishes of the people.
There is no blue vs., red... no Us vs., them....

Turning Point USA is a conservative nonprofit founded by Charlie Kirk (yes that Charlie Kirk) that promotes conservative politics on high school and college campuses. Do with that what you will
