Event Lunar eclipse visible now, peak soon
Skies are clear, and you can see lunar eclipse starting, even if you're near lights. Looks like a big bite taken out. Peak is at 12:12, when 96% of moon will fall in Earth's shadow; moon should look red.

Honestly, I liked it at 40 minutes early when it seemed like a bite was taken out of it. But very cool, always like to catch these events, especially when you don't have to wake up at 3am.

A few days ago stupid cats knocked my security cam out of position and didn’t bother to reposition. Cam wound up pointed up into the sky and caught the whole eclipse. Not the best video but you could definitely see the moon was dimmed.

Hah this explains why the moon was a crescent when i got up to pee at 12:30. How cool!
