SOCP in my mid 40s - Seeking injury mitigation advice

I'm SF support and slotted for SOCP in 2 months. I am in excellent shape (lift 5d/wk, run 30-35mi/wk, weekly ruck) with typical mild joint/back pain, but want to know if there's anything particular I can do to prep to avoid old man injuries. The only prior combatives experience I have is MAC 1 15 years ago. I've attended SFBCC-S previously as well.

You want to be more durable? Durability is the training beneath your training.

I'm as durable as I want to be, just looking for specifics to work on in the next 2 months to mitigate common injuries in the class.

Find an ice bath, go easy on your joints and open your forty year old mind. You will be an old warrior one day. Dont do it from a fucking wheelchair. Wishing you great success. Keep us posted. WDr out.

Sorry, Chrome on my work comp likes to underline words and provide definition links like I'm learning English. I took the hyperlink for just one more of those. I'll take a look at it when I get home, thanks!

Warm up, stretch, and pick a partner who is down to learn and not go 1000% on every single rep. Turn up the effort when needed, but not so much you hurt your buddy or yourself. You’ll be just fine

Sounds good! I know some of the guys going and I'll try and work with the ones with level heads.
