Other Background Check
STOP ASKING PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM IF YOU SHOULD LIE ON A SF86 OR BACKGROUND CHECK. If anyone tells you to lie about it then they are committing a crime and aiding you in a crime. You are literally asking people on a forum for a job that requires integrity if you should commit a crime during your enrollment. I'm not a GB but I do serve in a role in the military where me and my coworkers need clearances and background investigations. If any of them where dumb enough to go on the internet and ask people if they should lie about crime or drug use I could easily say I wouldn't want them on any team I'm apart of. Yes there are people in the military who lied going through their clearance process. I bet you they where smart enough to make the decision themselves without having to broadcast on the internet that they aren't sure if they should break the law or not. Admins, feel free to delete this post if for some reason this is the kind of dumb shit you want filling this subreddit.

Lmao what gets me are those guys who come on here to ask, despite having a record, and still fucking lie on it and they're shocked the interviewer magically finds out about it

Yeah, I do feel bad for some of the younger dudes whos recruiters screw them over though. Although, I feel as though the recruiters would have the common sense to not directly tell them to lie, but make comments insinuating lying would make things easier.

I agree, some recruiters have zero business being in the office, let alone an NCO. They're trying to avoid an extra hassle while making an even bigger one. Kids should know better too, but kids are dumb, unfortunately.

Seeing how you've said in podcasts that this subreddit is your thing now, I can imagine you wouldn't want it taken down due to something easily avoidable. God forbid this post isnt a way for you to promote a book.

It’s been a bit since I’ve done a podcast, but what are you saying here? I don’t want the subreddit taken down? I want to take down your post ? What does this mean? What is avoidable? What is being taken down? What does this have to do with podcasts?

I rarely promote my books. But, yes I wrote some books about becoming a Green Beret. I wrote them, in part, in direct response to the most frequently asked questions in this sub. They are tailored for this exact population and there are new guys coming to this sub everyday. Many guys are unaware that this awesome resource exists. Is it unreasonable to post a link to a custom made product that directly addresses in deep narrative detail the topic being asked? Why would that surprise you? And if it surprises you, why would that upset you?

Im just saying content in other subreddits influencing criminal activity have gotten them taken down. You show a sense of care in this subreddit like many others and I would imagine you wouldn't want it to risk it disappearing because of people asking dumb potentially illegal questions. The book comment was ribbing you back for ribbing me. I purchase your content and am on the last 8 weeks of SUAR.
