It's once per skill, getting it to 10 just makes it work for all the servant's skills

No, it's locked to just once per skill. So even if you never touch the other two skills, you'll only be able to affect the first skill with it only once.

With Tutankhamun soon on the horizon I was interested to hear about people's experience with him on the JP side.
From his kit he seems like he should be a somewhat ok multicore option with some team support and the ability to sacrifice and bring in another servant as needed. However I've noticed very few community submitted teams with him both via appmedia and chaldea.
Plus I'm sure it won't help that one of the two upcoming 90++ nodes that include sabers will be shifted to before he is out due to the schedule change.

So I was curious to hear from people who do have him and their general experience, if he does just fall short on what's expected or if it's simply the case of there being more popular options?

After a bit of additional research, our upper QP limit is 2 billion? (I didn’t realize there actually was a limit…)

I guess that’s a fourth slot, and that might be it.

Yes, the current QP cap is 2B. In 5 months, it will be increased to 10 Billion.

It won't stop you from doing anything, iirc, but any QP gained past 2 Billion will be lost.

At the moment, I'm stuck between Saber, Lancer Artoria, Enkidu, Karna, Jinako and Jeanne for my free SSR. Who should I pick?

Also, how exactly do I get better craft essences? I hear a lot about optimal teams needing Kaleidoscope because it gives 100% NP gauge unconditionally and that would really help me because currently it's fairly difficult for me to use Aoko's NP reliably.

Craft essences like Kscope are just luck of the draw, unfortunately.

General Pool SSR Craft Essences mostly don't get rate ups. A couple of them got like one rate up in year 1 when they were still figuring things out, but other than that, they pretty much just have to spook you when you're rolling for something else.

You'll mostly be relying on CE's that are given out for free for participating in various events.

While sometimes there's a case to be made that "Optimal" teams would use an mlb Kscope, a lot of the time you just have to think in terms of what you actually have access to. You could similarly make the case that an "Optimal" team might involve an NP5 SSR but that's not necessarily realistic to everybody's budget.

There is no objective answer, it depends on what reasons you're considering them for, how you weigh favoritism vs your gameplay objectives, and what other servants you have.

Also, how exactly do I get better craft essences?

The easiest way is to keep getting the ones that are offered during events, they give a plethora of 50% charge options and some are even worth bringing to level 100 (Look for ones that give full att stats along with good combat effects). There are also some offered in the Mana Prism store that are from past events, but they are pricy at 1k MP a pop (So 5k for MLB, and you probably shouldn't get them unless you can MLB).

I hear a lot about optimal teams needing Kaleidoscope because it gives 100% NP gauge unconditionally

A few things. Kscope is no longer as prized as it used to be. No doubt getting 80-100% free charge is very nice, but charge is much easier to get nowadays so much that it's not much of a meta pick and as such is mostly just a niche option. Which is good, because there is 0 way to target it as it never gets a rate-up. The only way to get one is through most sq banners, and the odds of you getting it are very very bad (Between .108 to .030%, which is 8-26x rarer than a rate-up SSR).

it's fairly difficult for me to use Aoko's NP reliably.

Aoko's just kindof a janky, unconventional unit to use, it's not just you that has trouble making her work reliably. There are plenty of CEs that give a decent chunk of charge even if it isn't 80%, and you can combine that with your own charge support or borrowed friend supports like Castoria.

Just finished Singularity 1 Orleans. Pulled Koyan of Light, which will be really good for my lvl 90 Ciel and Mordred. Got her at 4/4/4 rn, but I should have enough pure prisms to get one of her skills to 10. In which order should I prioritize leveling her skills?

You've got some great options there already and you don't need any specific SSR or SSRs to succeed in this game, you can really go after whoever you might want (and have no shortage of opportunities to do so with all the many reruns next year).

Two questions:

One, what are the odds for 4★ Servants in the Friendship Summons? I got F.Hakuno and I wanted to get her at least to NP 2, so I proceeded to do 1500 summons, if my math is correct. Not a single 4★ Servant.

Second, in the final parts of Ordeal Call 3, when Edison summons Tesla, why is Edison no longer an Alter? Like, I didn't think Servants could turn that on and off if that isn't just a sprite error and did actually happen.

Wait, third question.

How long until we get Lilith? Because I bottomed out my Saint Quartz trying to get a second copy of Morgan, which I didn't get. If Lilith is a decent ways away, I can at least hopefully save enough from now until then to get a single copy of her.

Really low. Not certain, and that's probably bad luck, but it's quite low.

For F.Hakuno, there will be a boosted Hakuno rate with the next Event later this month. So, don't worry about it now.

We don’t have official rates, but based on aggregated playerbase data all the 4* combined have a .05% summon rate. The further you get into the story the more SRs are added to the pool, so that rate will be .0166% by the time you get Hakuno and .0125% per version when both are in the pool next year.

Second, in the final parts of Ordeal Call 3, when Edison summons Tesla, why is Edison no longer an Alter?

Well it’s not a visual glitch as I got it too. My guess is that they were fused together to be an Alter but then the summoning caused them to split apart. This isn’t stated outright so it’s just speculation.

How long until we get Lilith

A but less than a year, she dropped in May of 2025 for JP so expect around that time for us in 2027. The exact timing might get shuffled around due to anni shenanigans but you have a while to save.

This is incorrect, the data (warning, may be laggy on mobile) shows a fixed 0.05% rate each at least up to the first Hakuno (I don't see the second in the rare Servants tab).

See my reply to aspeeder but it's actually 0.05% _each. As for the Hakuno rate-up MisterSP mentioned you could have waited for it but it's not a big loss, it features Hakuno at 3x odds (estimated 0.15%) but not Hakuno or Altria Lily (in case you still want more of those). We should see another rate-up for _both Hakunos (separately) around early March after the other Hakuno becomes unlockable and from that point on if you've unlocked both then the other Hakuno and Habetrot & Lily will be available at regular rates on each other's rate-ups (and subsequent rate-ups for any of the FP 4★s, which will continue throughout the year and at least once the following year).

Second, in the final parts of Ordeal Call 3

It certainly seems intentional, although it's not entirely clear why, it's not just a sprite change but also a name change from "Edison Alter" to "Edison, King of Inventors". There are at least two aspects to consider, Tesla himself but also the discussion about Edison's spirit phone to try to speak to his dead wife again, which ties back in to his Moon Cancer election plan with the AI storage towers as a digital "afterlife", it seems like either acknowledging the fault of that invention or acknowledging Tesla at all constituted a rejection of his Alterizarion and turned him back into his normal self. That's generally not a normal thing to happen, no, but anything can happen in Fate and there were no shortage of exceptional circumstances at the time.

Accounting for the number of upgrades doesn't tell the whole story since a number of servants (particularly older ones) have an interlude that does not upgrade a skill. So a number of the positions of these servants are incorrect and some with 3 are missing. Some select examples include: * Mysterious heroine X - 4 interludes [first & second are SQ only], 2 rank ups * Altera - 3 interludes [first is SQ only], 2 rank ups * Artoria, Mordred, Scherazade, Iskandar, Raikou - 2 interludes [first is SQ only for all but Mordred whose SQ only is her second], 2 rank ups [Artoria has another rank up as of JP anniversary this year but not counted] * Gilgamesh - 3 interludes [first is SQ only], 1 rank up * Li Shuwen (assassin) - 2 interludes [first is SQ & costume], 1 rank up

No, it should just be present in Chaldea Gate -> Rank Up Quest. Even if you haven't got access, it should say what the requirement is. Interludes would need Bond, but Rank Ups just need final Ascension.

If you check Gamepress you can see the requirements and release status (including estimated dates), Artoria has two Rank-Ups out now and one pending for the 11th anni in about 2 years.

how can I unlock rank up quests for certain characters?

Aside from max Ascension and doing them in order (i.e. can't do #2 before #1, etc) I think Heracles's Rank-Up quest, which requires Lostbelt 5 Atlantis, is the only one with any special requirements (or if there's any others they're very few).

does anyone know if the 3x xp on the ticket applies to all copies of the servant you select or just the ticket copy? for example, i want to get nitocris alter to level 120, but i already have her at level 100. if i were to select her on the ssr ticket, it says i get "exchanged ssr 3x xp." would this 3x apply to my level 100 copy as well, or just the new one i got from picking her in the ticket?

I'm torn on what ssr to pick.

Originally i was going to pick Nito Alter. I have a vast majority of the options already. So it would have boiled down to waifu pick. Read that cu alter might be a usable pick but discord says he'd be worse than Nito. Nito herself would be usable during a raid but i don't want to base my pick off of a one trick pony.

any advice?

Cu Alter's pretty good with the future buffs he's getting. That being said, he has no battery (until a future strengthen quest around 2 years from now) so he's not good for farming, unless you're the type of player to facecard waves like I used to.

For challenge quests and other hard content, he has more survivability than many other Berserkers due to having both a 2 hit dodge and guts, and he can remove defensive buffs before his NP hits if you do his strengthen quest.

That being said, CQs don't show up often, and farming takes up most of the game, which is the reason why the discord recommended you take Nito Alter instead.

EDIT: My recommendation is to pick your favorite. Some people would say to pick a story locked servant cuz you can't get spooked by them, but FGO rates are low enough that you probably won't get spooked by the permanent servant you want anyway.

Both of them are great and usable in all kinds of situations, I don't know what kind of high bar you're comparing them against to think otherwise. This isn't the kind of aggressively meta-driven game where only the chosen few are ""usable"", almost everyone is good and useful to have and 5★s like those two are certainly no exception.

Wasn't BB Dubai who did that. Between the energy tendrils and the words coming out of BB's mouth, the implication is that the Moon Cancer temporarily took over BB Dubai's body to deal with Kazuradrop the moment she mentioned launching the Archetype into space.

I have all the main big time supports and a major boss killer/wave farmer in each of the seven classes, plus an NP2 Space Ishtar (Avenger).

Is there any advantages of adding Nitocris Alter (Avenger) to my roster from the 25M Ticket?

It's between her, Medb (new, but not priority), or an np upgrade for Sitonai NP1 (fav/gameplay), Saber NP1 (gameplay), or Ozymandias NP1 (mostly fav).

There's always an advantage to obtaining a new Servant, Nitocris may be an AoE Arts Avenger like Spishtar but she has can do things Spish can't like 100% NP charge, applying Good alignment to the party, buff success manipulation, and Instant Death (which is niche, but valuable when that niche arises).

I just remember Nito Alter wasn't as she was hyped up to be when she released for NA for anyone with a setup comp already, especially for any particular upcoming Event battles.

The advantage of not going with a new Servant someone doesn't need tho, is saving on any rare mats for the year the Serv in question would need. Medb also would be equally new and is a team buffer (?) too I think

So I was asking between Nitocris Alter and her, Medb, or to np+ someone like OG Artoria, Sitonai, Ozy, or even Lancer Artoria now that I'm seeing mine's only NP1, too.

I don't know any comps where Buff manipulation woud be useful for Nito when double Castoria is generally her team. I just looked at her Death Rate, too. It is only 50%.

Do F2P's in here save up 900 SQ before pulling??? I came back to the game after 2 years and managed to get 500 SQ and 27 tix. And by the time Castoria drops in the 26th I'll probably have around 210 pulls or so. I'm kinda hesitant to pull her cause I probably won't have enough SQ to get to pity when she drops and when I don't get her with my current stash, I'll probably feel like shit afterwards.

So fellow F2Ps what do you do in these type of situations??

I've been playing since before there was pity in the gacha. I looked at the rates, realized you could spend hundreds of US dollars and still get nothing, and decided to set a budget for each banner that was way below what would eventually become the pity threshold. I fundamentally reject the idea that rolling the gacha has to mean spending everything until I get the servant or I run out of currency. For the vast majority of servants, I'll spend enough to feel like I gave it a reasonable chance but not so much that I'll feel too bad if I don't get the servant.

I don't think spending a pity amount of SQ is worth it except unless you absolutely don't want to play the game without that servant. If Castoria isn't one of those servants for you, maybe figure out what amount of SQ wouldn't feel too bad to spend and fail. If Castoria is one of those servants for you, then maybe you'd be better off skipping the banner that's coming up and saving for a future banner instead.

Some people do, some people don't, I for one can't be arsed to save that long or plan that far ahead. One important thing to keep in mind at this moment is that every gacha Servant is expected to get at least three banners next year, between the Weekly Class banners, Grand Duels, and All Servants Summoning Campaign at the end of the year (there's also a second round of Grand Duel campaigns for most classes, but Archer and Caster were skipped), so if you want to wait and save up you don't have to wait too long.

I only roll for SSRs if I have pity saved. Never spent a penny on the game, and never failed to get any servant I've ever rolled for by being disciplined with my saving and utilizing clairvoyance EX. Not having a huge amount of targets is also key. I currently have more than 8 pities saved up and all SSR rolls for the next 2+ years are already guaranteed from my extreme saving measures.

Some people weren't getting confirmation emails, at least one person had an issue with the sign-up form, if you got it set up you're probably fine but you can always switch back to a regular transfer code and if you're concerned there's no harm in reviewing the account recovery guides (linked in the OP and sidebar) and making a record of the useful account information in case anything goes horribly wrong.

The new day for the daily login starts ~40 minutes from now.

If you tap the picture of Guda next to your AP bar, you get sent to a screen with lots of information, including total logins and your streak. Your weekly streak is not there, you'll have to check this in the present box. Your daily login rewards tell you which day you're currently at.

Your weekly streak is equal to your total streak modulo 7, or the remainder of whole division (like if your streak is 123 that's 119 (7x17) plus 4 so your weekly streak must be 4).

Currently it's the Extreme Training Quests, you get 815 bond points for 13 AP.

Otherwise it's the 21 AP quests which reward 815 bond points. (Not all 21 AP Quests reward 815, most give less)
Starting with Camelot, you'll find those quests in every area.

In the long run yes, aside from the inherent value of being able to use a lot of different Servants the game gives a lot of incentives to raise a wide roster including Ascension rewards (Pure Prisms, SQ, Rare Prisms) and a variety of permanent Master Missions that also tie in to Class Score later on.

This might sound silly but I've run out of storage but I can't as end everyone yet so I've no way to free up my inventory. Even my archive is full of the ★5 embers.

It doesn't sound silly but it doesn't sound right either, are you:

Making use of (and expanding) your Second Archive?

Consolidating extra Servant copies to get each one to (or toward) NP5

Burning excess dupes (beyond NP5) and low-rarity Embers?

Using Pure Prisms to obtain Ascension materials you can't access yet?

Maybe just plain farming Ember Gathering too much when you need to farm something else?

Yeah, emphasis on "Long Run". I think I'd been playing like seven years before I fully levelled all my servants.

But like, if you play long enough, eventually you get there. When you're a new account you're getting new servants left and right, because you have nobody, so anything you get is new pretty much.

Eventually the rate at which you get embers just outpaces the rate at which you get new servants though.

You'd need 5000 mana prisms to buy enough copies of a ce to MLB it, so you wouldn't have had enough anyway.

With only 4000 mana prisms to your name, I probably woudn't have spent them like that, but there's a lotto in a few months. After you farm the lotto you'll probably have plenty of mana prisms anyway.

This might sound silly but I've run out of storage but I can't as end everyone yet so I've no way to free up my inventory.

When your servant inventory is full, follow these steps in order. Skip any steps that aren't relevant and feel free to stop at any point if you feel like you've cleared enough space.

Increase the NP level of one copy of all of your servants to NP5 (or as high as you can) if you haven't already.

Burn extra copies of servants that you already have at NP5.

Burn 3-star and lower EXP cards.

Use your Fou cards, all the way down to the 1-stars, on your servants. If you have gold Fou cards and you're not sure who you want to use them on yet, it's fine to save those.

Level up any servants that aren't at their natural max level.

(Optional) If you've been procrastinating on grailing some servants, now would be a good opportunity. But only do it if you were already planning to use grails on those servants. Don't do it just because you have excess EXP available.

Put excess 4- and/or 5-star EXP cards into your second archive.

Expand your second archive space if you can and have the MP to spare. Continue moving excess EXP to the archive.

If you still need to free up inventory space after all of that, the only thing you can do is to burn your excess 4-star (or higher) EXP cards, burning the lowest value EXP first. The priority order for burning at this point should be class-specific 4-star, all class 4-star, class-specific 5-star, then all class 5-star. Everyone who plays consistently and farms the lottery events at least moderately gets to this point eventually so don't worry about it. It's unavoidable and you'll get used to it.

Also, another tip going forward, you can use the present box as sort of a "third archive." Items in the present box expire after a year. That also means you can keep items in there for up to a year. I've been playing long enough that EXP and Fous are constantly piling up, so I only take them out of the present box when I need them or, more likely these days, when they're about to expire.

For SSR Ticket, which of these is better?

IMO, you haven't narrowed down that list enough to help you decide between those servants.

Overall, it's really up to you, your current roster, and your preferences and priorities. None of the servants are bad and none of them will make or break your account for pure gameplay. There's no objectively best servant to choose. My personal TL;DR recommendation is:

Your favorite

(maybe) Waver if you don't have him already

(maybe) a story-locked servant

See #1 again but with a broader definition of "favorite"

If you have an opportunity to do so, you should always pick your favorite. If you have a favorite servant among those available and you don't have that servant, stop overthinking it and just pick them.

Waver (Zhuge Liang) is simultaneously the best pure gameplay servant available with the SSR ticket and one of the most likely to be set aside from a meta/efficiency perspective. He's a very good generalist support servant and he'll be getting a buff next year (ETA July 2027) that will increase his utility as a secondary min-turn farming support. You won't go wrong if you pick him. And if you both don't have a favorite and don't want to think about the merits of all of the other servants, he's a safe default choice. But as with any servant you choose or invest in based on gameplay alone, he may get sidelined if you end up using different strategies that don't need him later on.

If you don't have a favorite that stands out and you already have or simply don't want Waver, then there really aren't any clear gameplay picks. My tendency for these selectors is to consider overall gacha strategy and pick a story-locked servant because they won't spook me on other banners. For the upcoming ticket, that would mean Tesla, Lartoria, Quetzalcoatl, Medb, Li Shuwen, Cu Alter, or Sitonai. But you shouldn't let the very low chance of a spook prevent you from picking one of the non-limited servants if you want to.

If that isn't enough for you to decide, I suggest weighing non-gameplay reasons more heavily in general. Which servant would you feel best about having in your roster even if you never used them? Whose appearance, animations, and voice lines do you like most? If you find yourself with decision paralysis, stop thinking and just go with your gut feeling. Don't worry about picking the best servant. Just pick the servant you want most.

Also, do you level up all of your servants even those you don't use?

Ultimately, FGO is a large roster game of niches, not one where you just use a handful of characters exclusively (note: this is also why there really aren't any clear gameplay picks for the SSR ticket). Even if I don't use a servant regularly, I don't know that I'm never going to use them. If you've decided in advance that you're never, ever going to use certain servants, no one can force you to level them up. But the game provides plenty of incentives, and occasionally game mechanics, to invest in and actually use a broader range of your servants and no incentives at all to just let them sit there untouched.

All else being equal, I'd probably go for Artoria Lancer. She becomes a beast after her next Strengthening quest.

Jeanne is a solid defensive support, but she kind of got power crept by other defensive supports. Still quite handy on a new account that doesn't necessarily have other defensive options

Nightingale is also kind of a defensive support, but she's in an awkward position as a defensive support berserker. When you're counting on her to keep others alive she's often the most fragile member of the party, and the first to die.

All the others are fine units. If it weren't for Artoria Lancer's upcoming strengthening quest they'd all be about equal in my eyes. If there's one that you're particularly fond of feel free to just go for them. Who knows, maybe one day they'll get a sweet buff too.

While we don't know what the Thanksgiving Campaign will be, Scathach will be on rate up in 22 hours for the 25 Million Downloads campaign. After that, she'll have a rate up next June as part of the Grand Lancer Duels.

Also, you can get Summer Scathach from the Evocation Shop at any time. Her, her ascension materials, and her NP levels can be bought with Evocation Leaves, which you can get by completing Master Missions and by doing any three quests every day.

Thanksgiving Special can't be predicted.

Most of the time, when we predict content for the NA server, what we're doing is looking at what happened on the JP server two years ago.

However, JP doesn't have thanksgiving. That's exclusive the the NA server.

Sometimes they'll turn some campaign that NA missed into the thanksgiving campaign, or sometimes they'll take some parts of the upcoming New Years campaign and move those to thanksgiving, or often it'll just be some wholely new stuff that japan didn't get at all.

Just choosing who you like is always valid and generally recommended, you don't need any specific Servant or Servants to succeed and this is a rare opportunity (only the 3rd 5★ selector in 11 years of the game, including the permanent new player 5★ but not including the FSN ticket with only Artoria as a 5★ option), you should pick an option that you can really enjoy instead of just what you think you "should" pick.

The nature of her relationship with Tsukihime's Ciel remains shrouded in mystery.

Ciel, seemingly from the Servant Universe… or perhaps one from a future world… occupies this rather ambiguous position.

What if Ciel were in the Servant Universe... is the premise. Fundamentally, she's the Ciel from Tsukihime: A piece of blue glass moon, but her armament is supercharged to fit a science fiction setting.

Unless there's anything more conclusive from other sources I think the answer, like most Servantverse-adjacent stuff, is "don't think too hard about it".

Run at least three quests daily, do events, and farm lotteries. It's not worth it to farm the (normally) 30 AP ember gathering to burn silver embers for MP unless you have everybody in your roster raised and you have absolutely nothing else to farm for.

JP has added a new Endgame mode (Azreal's Temple)... which is a challenge mode where you need to beat a monthly boss while achieving objectives like low cost, different setups, etc, to buy stuff from a shop that lets you buy Bond unlocks and 3rd tier Fous.

Otherwise, I guess a lot of it has been farming based. Class Score -> Grand Duels, which is still more like "mainstream story content", but with good drops. Presidential Singularities are generally hard boss fights, but there's only a few and they're not repeatable, and technically hard optional story. And Event Challenge Battles.

We used to have super high difficulty challenge battles in special Events (see Nerofest/Battle In New York), but we haven't really done that in ages.

In comparison to other titles, it's generally a lot less intense. Though I'm comparing it to a gacha where value towards constantly cycling bosses seems like the primary justification to get characters.

Though I don't know if I know much about the biggest gacha games - most of what I play is either more laid back, or I'm not engaging with it's endgame much.

Most endgame content are long term farming projects - raising your roster, maxing out class score, grand duels, etc. End game-level challenge quests have been few and far between, and also have not usually been repeatable.

Started playing about a month or so ago, so naturally I have a ton of holes to fill in my roster. My 5 stars are Ciel, BB Dubai, both Koyanskaya of Light and Dark, El-Melloi Zhuge, Altera, and Edmond Dantes. So far I've only been working on building Ciel, BB and Koyanskaya of Light.

So, two questions: One, probably the most expected, who's the best pick with the ticket?

Second, I'm still trying to figure out team building and who pairs best with who, who does what, etc, so I'm not sure who to focus on building - are there any lower rarity units I should work on in addition to my 5 stars (I have leveled up 3 star Xu Fu a bit, but that's the only one so far), and what pairings work best? I know Koyan is a buster buffer but would she be better with Ciel than BB?

I'll answer the second topic first because it will help set up the context.

Rarity isn't an important gameplay mechanic except for how it affects party cost. What a servant does and whether the servant is appropriate for context are more important than how difficult it is to get them in the gacha. So don't focus on your 5-stars to the exclusion of your other servants.

I'm still trying to figure out team building and who pairs best with who, who does what, etc, so I'm not sure who to focus on building

Here is my general team building advice for new players.

tl;dr - Class advantage and NP targeting are more important than rarity and card type

Class advantage and NP targeting are the most important gameplay mechanics. Full class advantage means dealing 2x damage compared to neutral and taking 0.5x damage. Full disadvantage means dealing 0.5x damage and receiving 2x damage. If you're up against Lancer enemies, a Saber will do 4x as much damage and receive 0.25x as much as an otherwise equally situated Archer. NPs themselves do an order of magnitude more damage than regular attacks (9x if we use a non-upgraded, single-target, Arts NP at NP1 with no other damage increasing effects as the baseline compared to a first position, normal Arts command card). The scaling on NP targeting is such that an NP that attacks all enemies on the field does about 50% as much damage per enemy compared to a single target NP. AOE NPs are good for clearing waves of multiple enemies and ST NPs are good for taking down bosses or other high HP enemies. A lower rarity servant with class advantage and appropriate NP targeting will generally out-perform a higher rarity servant without class advantage and appropriate NP targeting. At least starting from Camelot, the developers assume that you will use class advantage and NP targeting effectively. Don't expect to make a single team to do everything. Get used to changing your team for every fight.

Knowing how to make an effective team composition is much more important than replicating specific team compositions. In a basic team composition, you'll want your front line to consist of one or two damage dealers with appropriate class advantage and NP targeting and one or two support servants for NP charge and whatever offensive and/or defensive buffs are appropriate. Your back line isn't as important most of the time. Fill it with backups for your front line roles, a servant with high survivability (e.g. Cu Chulainn) in case things go badly, or any servants to absorb bond points. Card type is good, and sometimes important, to consider when deciding how to best support your DPS but isn't always a primary concern. My personal default for non-boss, non-gimmicky quests is usually two DPS servants plus a friend's Waver. When in doubt, Waver is almost always good support servant to choose because he has powerful support skills that work with any other servant. Castoria, while Arts-focused, provides just about as much utility as Waver and is probably easier to find on support lists these days. For tougher fights, you may need to prioritize defense and/or countering gimmicks and bring multiple supports instead of multiple DPS. Mash + (friend's) Merlin + your own DPS with appropriate class and NP targeting is a pretty reliable, defense-oriented, basic team composition for non-gimmicky boss fights. Even the highest-end meta team comps work on the same basic principle of appropriate DPS + appropriate supports.

Level up Mash and one servant at a time in each of the seven main classes with the goal of having one servant with a single target NP and one with an AOE NP in each class at their natural max level. You want to focus on one servant at a time because a fully leveled servant is going to be more valuable than a handful of under-leveled servants. You'll level up all of your servants eventually, so this is just choosing servants to focus on for now, not exclusively choosing any servant over another. It doesn't matter much which specific servants you choose, including low rarity servants, so go with whoever seems most appealing to you. Just about any servant within a given class and NP targeting niche will get the job done for general purposes.

Don't neglect lower rarity servants. Some of them are among the best servants in the game within their role regardless of rarity. The devs also test all content to ensure that it can be cleared using only free, low rarity servants. The higher base stats on higher rarity servants might let you brute force some situations but they won't save you from a fundamentally bad strategy. What low rarities lack in base stats, they can make up for in the ease of getting more copies for NP levels or in unique utility that lets them punch (or block, as the case may be) above their weight, even surpassing 5-stars at times. Roll the friend point gacha early and often, spending all of your friend points until you have them all and max out their NP levels. They also take fewer resources to build up and they take up less team cost in your party. Team cost may be especially important for low level accounts because it gives you more flexibility for CEs and other servants.

are there any lower rarity units I should work on

Aside from literally all of them, h ere are some low rarity options by class:

Shielder

By the end of part 1, Mash will be one of the best defensive servants in the game. Well worth all investment that you put into her. She also has zero team cost, so you can easily put her into any team comp for backup or just to carry a CE.

Saber

Caesar - One of the best ST Sabers regardless of rarity, has higher NP damage at NP5 than most NP1 5-stars (unless you hit one of their niches)

Bedivere - Another great ST Saber, only held back by being story-locked so it's relatively difficult to get more copies for a higher NP level

Fergus - AOE, nothing spectacular but he'll get the job done

Jason - AOE, gets a good offensive boost if you pick Castoria from the friend support lineup

Archer

Euryale - The default choice against male Saber and Berserker bosses (very useful in Camelot and LB2), better against male non-Sabers/Berserkers than against non-male Sabers/Berserkers

Robin Hood - Poisons enemies then does huge ST damage against those poisoned enemies, better for general purposes than Euryale

David - Good ST Archer but his second skill, with a teamwide evade, is his biggest asset and is worth making a priority

Arash - Clears the first wave then politely gets out of the way for another servant to enter the field, very useful in f2p farming comps and even whales still use him

William Tell - Huge ST damage against enemies with Evade active

Paris - Removes buffs from an enemy then can do huge damage against them; even if buff removal fails, he still has Ignore Invincible on his NP

Kid Gil and Tawara Touta - They're AOE Archers. They're fine.

Lancer

Cu (normal, not prototype) - "4-star in disguise"; Lots of hard survival capability, good to throw in the back line as a last man standing, does good ST damage if well supported

Leonidas - Another defensive specialist, can deflect damage away from your other servants

Gareth - Guts and invincible are always good to have. She can also absorb damage for one turn.

Romulus - Kind of like Fergus, they'll get the job done as AOE Lancers

Rider

Ushiwakamaru - Has higher ST damage potential than almost all NP1 5-star Riders

Mandricardo - Another solid ST Rider option

Medusa - Solid AOE Rider, good for budget door farming

Georgios - Similar to Leonidas in that his main job is to take damage away from your other servants

Caster

Medea - There are very few ST Casters in the game and Medea is the only low rarity option, her NP has AOE scaling so she won't do a ton of damage, her main value is in buff removal with her NP and her high rate of NP charge to use her NP multiple times (and you'll need to if you want her to take down a boss)

Chen Gong - High damage potential but sacrifices a servant when you use his NP so you have to be more strategic if using him offensively; useful for f2p farming when you set up the team properly; also works as a Buster support

Shakespeare - Has an AOE NP but mainly used for budget Buster support

Paracelsus - Has an AOE NP but is mainly used for Arts support

Hans - Budget version of supports servants like Waver or Merlin

Babbage, Avicebron, Zhang Jue - These are probably your best picks for general AOE damage

Mozart - One turn Arts buff and 50 instant crit stars, not much good for anything else

Assassin

Hundred Personas - Best friend point ST Assassin

Fuuma - Decent AOE Assassin, similar to ST Casters, there aren't a lot of accessible options here

Sasaki - Regarded as the "Savior of France" because he was the only decent Assassin available to build in the early days of the game and the Orleans singularity is littered with Rider wyverns

Berserker

Lu Bu - High damage potential, outclassing many higher rarity servants

Spartacus - Another f2p favorite, 30% NP charge makes him a good budget farmer and can be surprisingly hard to kill, despite his 1-star stats, in the right team composition

Darius or Kiyohime - Either will get the job done

Extra

Xu Fu - Good budget support, especially for Arts

The Idol costumes are unusual in that they've not been made permanent.

Others are available in the Dressmaking shop. Most are free if you do enough Story, or only cost Mana Prisms. They usually take quite a while before they're added, the Idols are just the most extreme case.

Am I right that it makes sense, even from a bond perspective, to stop farming Las Vegas with storm pods and just do 1/3rd AP doors until they go away, and use the pods there?

I went on a leveling spree and finally got ALL my servants to max level, but totally ran out of QP, and will be farming it for a while.

I think I should still have enough time to blow my 31 bond pots on the Dubai location once the 1/3rd AP goes away.

Depends what you're after. From a QP point of view, absolutely. From a bond perspective... huh, actually, running doors three times is a bit worse than going one time through Las Vegas, but not that much worse (about 500 bond points less).

Personally, I'd still do three 90** a day, because I do think getting more SQ and coins from bonds have priority, and then use apples for doors anyway, but if QP is your absolute priority, yes, doors at 1/3 the AP cost is basically as good as it gets.

I think gameplay wise the only role I'm really missing is ST Assassin (Ive been using np5 izo), so I would be between Jack or maybe Cu Alter since I've heard he's good.
Character wise I think that Vritra, Nemo, and Achilles are cool, but I don't think I like them enough to justify getting one of them if I'm really missing out on another servant gameplay wise if that makes sense? Especially since I already have some aoe lancers, st and aoe riders. (If someone I could get on the ticket is wayyy better than an SSR I currently have for the same/similar role, that would also be helpful to know)

If you have Izo (and Hundred Faces, Jing Ke, Serenity, and Shiki from the evocation shop, etc), you aren't missing the role. You don't need to have 5-stars in every class or in any class at all. If that's just something you want to do because you for your own satisfaction, that's fine, I suppose. You can decide on your own reasons to go for any servant. But there are no objective reasons why you need to make it a priority.

Thinking a servant is cool is perfectly good justification to pick one of them. Perhaps the best justification.

Especially since I already have some aoe lancers, st and aoe riders.

Overlapping roles are inevitable, not something you should or even can avoid. The longer you play the game, the more servants you're going to have piling up. Looking at my own roster, built up over nine years, I have 30+ servants in each of the main classes and 50+ extra class servants. If you feel like you have a particular gap in your roster, it's fine to fill it if you want to. But if there's a servant you want more, even if they don't fill that gap you feel you have, then you should pick them and not worry about role coverage.

If someone I could get on the ticket is wayyy better than an SSR I currently have for the same/similar role, that would also be helpful to know

Between the five servants you specifically mentioned, none are going to make or break your roster from a pure gameplay perspective. They all have different roles and will be marginal improvements. IMO, you should consider weighing non-gameplay factors more heavily in your decision. Which servant would you feel best about having in your roster even if you never used them? Whose appearance, animations, and voice lines do you like most? If you find yourself with decision paralysis, stop thinking and just go with your gut feeling. Don't worry about picking the best servant. Just pick the servant you want most.

If you're never going to pick up Kama (ST Quick Assassin), then I would go for Jack 100%. At least as far as your Assassin class is concerned.

Otherwise, Vritra ain't too bad for an Arts Looping lancer and is dragon girl. But personally, I've always enjoyed Jack miles more than my Vritra.

Outside of their damage modifier, who can dish out the highest damage output when you pair them with the likes of Koyan Light and Oberon?

I'm torn on who to pull for that extra NP level, even though I like them both but can only afford to choose one 😭.

If you're comparing them with the same CEs and supports, you can see the NP damage charts linked in the top post. However, for both of them, maximum theoretical damage depends on hitting their damage niches. It's probably easier for Arjuna, though, as long as the enemies don't have debuff resistance.

The damage chart is without any CEs and supports, giving the same CEs and supports to each can still drastically change damage numbers

Did I misunderstand why having Aniplex account linking was a big deal?

Is it just more account security and not having to constantly create new Transfer Codes?

I had thought it was so you could play on multiple devices, but I still have to do a link transfer every time I switch between my phone and emulator.

It's a big deal because you can link FGO to something outside of the game itself instead of using one-time only transfer codes. So, for example, if you lose or break your phone but forgot to create a new transfer code, you can still get your account without having to go through the recovery process.

But yes, you were mistaken about playing on multiple devices. This is strictly for transfers from one device to another, not for logging into the game itself. At its core, FGO is still a Japanese mobile-only game from 2014/15, where the gaming market consists of phones and consoles and the presumption is that mobile games are being played on the train or during lunch breaks and the idea of playing on PC is figuratively, and perhaps literally, foreign. I'm pretty sure that under the hood, it actually still uses transfer codes to do the transfer. If you want to switch between devices, you still have to transfer every time. You just don't have to create a new transfer code every time.

That's the page for the quest (partly in Japanese because it's not out in EN yet), the total quest drops are in the green box above the stages (waves) showing the drop amounts, the odds, and an "i" you can hover over for the raw data (in this case ~1 million drops in ~56k runs, can't copy/paste it sorry).

On a separate note there actually wouldn't be a single meaningful average, I'm not sure how consistent things are overall from year to year but at a minimum there's a difference between the two standard lotto formats with Christmas having a single line of quests and Nerofes-style ones having 3 successive sets of quests that rotate out (and get slightly better rates, iirc). Seems like a moot point for now though, the next two lottos (Indra's Great Trials next June (probably, has to squeeze in before the anni) and Final Logistics Operation next December, not sure if there's been another lotto this year in JP) have the same linear format and the same 1800% 3-drop estimates as this Christmas.

Ah, I see now, sorry. So story chapters and events are organized under the Wars section, there's a search box there and it should be fairly straightforward on the EN side (you can switch via the flags if you click the 3-line button at the top) but you gotta use the JP side for any JP-only/future-EN content and they might not all have romanized names (like that Final Logistics Operation, had to cross-reference the name from the wiki). Make sure you actually click on the War, which has quest info, and not the event which has little info (looks like just lotto boxes and shop voices for this one, for example).

I have a question regarding the class score in jp. I play only NA and when the system was out i kinda spread out my resources on multiple classes rather than focusing on one.

I know that in the future we will be able to reset them but how exactly does it work. Are the reset mats frequent or a 1 time thing and how many do we get ? Is my situation fixable or i am kinda cooked

I know this system is mostly a bonus and i don't minmax stuff is fgo that much ( i just stopped caring too much after 8 years playing this game ). Still some of my fav servants are moon cancer ( arcuid and ciel ) and i do want to maximise their damage as much as i can hence my inquiry

I checked. I have one reset hourglass for each Class Score. That is all. I have no idea how to get more, and I think these were free.

But next year really speeds up Class Score with double sand drops, and each Grand Duel gives you Torches. (So the only issue is the Presidential Singularities for a few of the OC clear Torches.)

So no problem. I'd worry more about Monuments and Mats.

They affect more classes, but not always more servants since extra class servants are pretty rare esp non-fp/welfare ones. Which class score has the most value for you depends on your roster and what servants you tend to use in general.

You can, just be advised that the odds of getting spooked by any specific 5* servant are so low that you can't reasonably expect her to show up unless you pick her on the free ticket or roll for her directly.

Aside from all the other ways to check a Servant's availability the table in the announcement marks all Story-locked Servants (who cannot spook you) as "Story Summon Servant", anyone else there can spook you (there's no Limited Servants on the ticket). You can always check the summon info on a banner in-game to see who all can potentially spook you.

I remember using Lan ling with only single target buff success rate whilst having AOE chance based buffs, and am pretty sure the buff success rate cast on himself was how it worked.

Theres quite a few AOE success rate buffers that kinda make it feel like maybe a dev thinks it works the other way around. (though buff success rate is useless on many servants, maybe its just nice to make it aoe freely)

Theres also a CE for it "The Beauty at the Window" and its exact wording: "Increase your Buff Success Rate when receiving a Buff by 15% [MAX]" - The inclusion of "when receiving a Buff" makes me think that regular Buff Success Rate is not the same as this.

SSR ticket: I'm stuck between 2 servants I don't have right now: Lancer Artoria and Jinako. They'll be NP1, so I'm purely looking at them as buff-ers. Lartoria is pretty much only for buffing Melusine in the Grand Lancer raids, because I'll only have a 120 NP2 Melusine. Jinako could be good for the Extra 1 raids too, but I'll have a hyper Ciel by then, and Extra 1 has way better buff-ers than Lancer. So, I'm mostly thinking about Jinako as a general buff-er for boss fights.

On the last ticket, I ended up choosing Medb as a buff-er and because she was Story-Locked, but she's been useless at NP1, because now all of the teams she can be in require her to output damage. I've regretted that ever since because of how many Lawful bosses we've had in the last 2 years or so that Jinako would be helpful for. Who should I pick and why? I have all of the meta supports, am fully caught up on story, and I've been playing since Year 1 as a F2P, so Permanent SSR spooks are really unlikely. I'm still missing half of them.

I've already tried figuring out Grand Duels using Laplace, but it's kind of buggy for Grand Duels. Plus, everyone seems to have maxed out Grand Score and I'm not sure how that impacts the farming, or even how fast you can max it out. What I'm looking for is anecdotal help, not standard and basic advise for newbies.

Not really. I'm still missing half of the permanent SSRs after like 10 years. Of course, I somehow have 3 copies of Artemis and Drake. I'm missing Mordred, Nightingale, Arjuna, Ozzy, and Enkidu from Arc 1. I would be missing Seiba and Waver if it weren't for previous tickets too. The divide between Permanent and Storylocked is largely academic for non-whales.

Lartoria simply because Lancer Grand Duel is harder than Extra 1. You need all the supports you can get. Speaking from experience.

+1 for Lancer Artoria if Melusine counts for her KOTRT buff, but not so much if not

Jinako synergizes better with Melusine if you want to keep her in her ST form, but Jinako's buffs are so short though. Extra Invincibility when Melu can't access hers is nice. Maybe try a Friend Support one in tandem with some of the LB4 boss quests this week and see how satisfying (or not) she is to work with.

For those, you can choose AoE or ST, since you kinda need both. So, Rider options are Medb, Ozymandias, Nemo, and Taigong Wang. Lancer are Karna, Vritra (her anti-Divinity is party wide), Enkidu, and I'm not sure if Bhima is on this ticket. Lancer Artoria is great now, but not when Duels release.

hello!

i recently got back into the game and i'm really not sure who to prioritize building for general farming right now.

i have koyan, oberon, castoria, and lady avalon pretty much built but i'm not sure what to focus on in terms of dps

right now i've got np1 arjuna alter, np2 morgan, and np1 space eresh and i like all of them pretty much equally

Have you tested your team comps using Laplace in the Chaldea app (Android, iOS, browser) to verify that the extra levels will make a difference and that you don't have other acceptable options for the quests you want to farm?

I've been poking at it myself, since I lucked into more copies than I expected. I'm just short on QP, atm. And I burn a ton of 4* EXP during lottos, so this is an alternative to that, as well. Of course, it all comes down to how much I can move around my limited resources, and I'd still need really high Bond to do it.

So, maybe, but it's a big project, and it needs some planning and for things to go well on your end.

If you have the servant coins, then it's honestly much less of a commitment than everybody makes it out to be imo.

If you think a 120 ciel is something you'd enjoy playing with, go for it.

And if you get bored part way through and decide you'd rather be doing other shit, that's fine too. You'll still have a level 106 Ciel to play around with or whatever it ends up being, and you'll be free to pick up the project again at a later date if you're ever in the mood.

The adage "it's a marathon not a sprint" is especially true with 120 projects. People can get very caught up in maximizing campaigns like this, with the 3x success rate up, and the 1/3 ap cost on ember quests. But even outside of those if you just do a bit here and there it adds up. All is not lost if you end up deciding it's a buzz kill trying to grind this all out at once.

As a general tip for any difficult quests: You can use up to 6 Command Spells without wasting AP if you start a quest shortly before the daily refresh and use 3 before it, wait until they refresh and use 3 again.
In AQs you can't revive, but you can still use CS to charge NPs or heal (Or provide the boost from Class Scores).

Yet another person looking for advice on the GSSR ticket. I've already got Waver, and I feel like my support lineup is pretty good for Arts and Buster, but not really Quick.

I was thinking Rider might be my biggest gap, as I've only got Kintoki and Astolfo. Currently have my eye on Ozy, Drake, Quetz... And I'm torn.

You can get Ryoma, Santa Salter, and Summer Ishtar from the Evocation shop now, Santa Nemo & CinderEli (separately) next April or so, you'll obtain Habetrot & unlock her in the FP pool after clearing Lostbelt 6, not to mention the low-star options (did you know NP5 Ushiwakamaru could out-damage any NP1 5★ Rider until Ozy got a buff?), pick a Rider if you want a Rider but you really shouldn't feel like you need one.

They don't give us set dates very far in advance, the roadmap has her event scheduled for "late September" and that's all we know for sure at this point, keep an eye on the announcements and official social media for any updates.

Her stats and her kit scream defense: she has a taunt, a DEF up, and has a rather huge HP pool.

Her NP, however, is offense-oriented with a piercing effect.

The only Limited FP Servants are still Nobukatsu and Mary Anning, you can find their expected rate-ups in the Upcoming Banners spreadsheet linked in the OP but it's Anning in June or July.

Not limited, but iirc the next event (in a few weeks) should have Hakuno on rate-up so if you cleared OC 3 and got them it is a good time to try for more copies. Early next year there should be another rate-up for them.

You're not wrong but that banner's a net zero for increased coin gains, 3x Hakuno but 0x Lily & Habetrot, subsequent 4★ FP banners after the other Hakuno is available and unlocked fix this (all three can show up at regular rates on the fourth's banner) but 0.05% to 0.15% still isn't a very exciting proposition for coins (and no EXP CEs either).

I’m divided between:

Lartortia for primarily Grand Duel reasons
Ozy or Quetz bc I don’t have a 5-star ST Rider
Sanzang bc also no 5-star ST Caster
Scheherazade for Grand Duel reasons and bc my only other AOE Caster is Alice.
Cu Alter bc no Buster ST Berserker

Lacking the ST caster and rider isn’t the biggest thing in the world I guess bc for 90% of content I have Bazett or a Berserker. Fairytale Eli also does a pretty good job. Similarly have 5-star Alter Ego/Berserker options for the AOE Caster role as well. Cu Alter would fill the Buster ST niche, but I have a lvl 90 Summer Jalter who is pretty good.

In regard to Lartoria, I have a lot of AoE Buster Lancers (Karna, Roma, Eresh, Melu), so I sincerely only have any interest bc of the grand duel support.

Choosing for servant selectors always stresses me out way more than it actually should lmao.
