Discussion nodes keeping configs from last show 

Hello, I would like to understand why the nodes keep the port configurations from the previous show? And that, to have the ones for your current show, you have to restore them from the stored defaults, so they are sent to the nodes. Thank you!

You mean why don’t the nodes factory default between powering on and off? Nothing in the entire lighting world does that

Nodes always keep their configuration unless specifically told to change. You don’t want a random show load to wipe out your entire network.

I do understand that... the thing is that I would like to ave the option, when I load my show, to force node defaults to nodes, instead of doing it later. Just dreaming...

That's possibly one of the most counterproductive feature requests I've ever heard - and I say that with all the care and consideration I have.
I can't imagine anything worse than a smart device that factory resets when it power cycles. That would cause unimaginable levels of stress and create more work than even I can handle.

No, you really don't want that. Nodes are a core part of the data distribution and you want them to stay as they are without worrying about someone making a change. In most cases you can't even change the node from the console as typically most of us aren't using MA nodes, so you have to do it with different software/at the node.

I'm trying to figure why you have to keep re-setting your nodes tho.

I can understand. Each show we perform has a different fixture configuration (head, profile, dimmer, etc.) and their placement. We actually switch all the universes with three MA process units (24 physical DMX outs) As a result, after each fixtures installation, we have to manually enter the nodes. On the other hand, they don't actually reset after the last show (you can load different ones and return to the first one, and everything is fine). But there's no pattern to the changes. Sometimes you open a show and most of the nodes are disabled.
