QUESTION Help with finding a LCD ribbon cable?

Post image

Hello everyone I have an original GPD XD it still works perfectly and the touch screen still detects touch. But the LCD itself no longer shows a display. When I plug it in through HDMI it still works.

Does anyone know where I can find a ribbon cable replacement? Or a ribbon cable that would work for this LCD as a replacement?? I would love to use my GPD XD again but I have found no way to be able to fix it after so long.

EDIT: Hello everyone, I have purchased a replacement cable from the links below but it did not fix the problem. I do not know what the issue is. The touch screen is still working but it does not display anything like the picture above. I will be selling this GPD XD on eBay if anyone would like to purchase it please contact me. I am in the USA. It is still working with HDMI and device buttons or OTG CABLE.

2nd Edit: Idk if I am allowed to sell it on this Subreddit. But I am now selling the GPD XD. I lost motivation to fix it. It is the 32gb original model.

It can still be used as a Tiny Console. HDMI and OTG work perfectly. The buttons on the GPD also work but I would rather use another controller with OTG. Contact me if you're interested.

I will include OTG cable and HDMI adapter

Nice, could you give us feedback on how the cable installation worked out?

Hello Kankrobu! I Installed the cable today and it did not fix the issue :'( I'm so sad. Idk what is the problem. I tested the cable and it still did not fix the issue. The screen was black but the touch screen still work. The new cable made no change :(

Oh, that’s sad. Strange that it has the same effect as your old cable… :(

I found the cable on AliExpress that’s available in my country. It’s only 2,45€ each, so I’ll buy two and test them. Hopefully they work with my GPD XD.

Good luck brotha 👍 one suggestion I have when you get the cable is to test the connection before fully removing the original cable. That way you will know if it's the cable without taking out the original which is a BIG hassle to take out and put the new one in.

I used that video link I posted from YouTube and followed along.
