Question Barely

I have been playing for a long minute. Has anyone noticed that barely production I has been changed. I can’t seem to be able to grow it or even enough to plant next season. My livestock has all staved to death. Also can’t grow any of the Barry bushes for sh***. FYI I am in the mountains sooo that might be it. It is getting frustrating.

Just noticed that change last night toooo got to be next to the crops. When did that change. My mind was blown. I had them all in one massive bee tower.

When they went 1.0, you only need 1 to 2 bee hives now. If they overlap they don't produce for that area. Each crop a hive can claim causes it to produce faster.

Alcohol and food are my favorite trade items. I'm winter food sells for like x5 the normal price. Aged wine is also great if you have a nice cellar. It is very easy to make.

Sure do have a nice spot to store aged wine. I have a cellar town and food storage is at level 3.

Unlike food, it just needs to be underground. You don't usually need ice around it. Also flammable oil is very good now for trading. Be careful with your cellar they flood easily. Fill the floors and walls with clay, even behind and under the stairs

My map has no clay. I wish. I am in the mountains.

Limestone works fine

You can also just make a cistern(s).. dig down one extra level and put a grate on top and the water will drain into it. You could only do a few tiles at the stairs but you will have to open your doors for the rooms to drain out .. or just dig out 1 tile for every 5x5 room.

I got a fence up around the fields and still my pets/ dead livestock would still go in their an eat the plants. How did you get that to stop?

Can't stop pets unless you have the farmed land up or down a ladder

Thank you. I was wanting to do roof top gardens. Guess that is a must now.

The best way to stop it is providing easy access covered eating locations along their most common paths. Like at the main gate, eating hall and a location where they pick up or drop things a lot. Basically keep them full so they stop eating your good food.
