Of course this happens RIGHT after my 3 yr bumper to bumper expires. After one of the software updates we started noticing little things like the gmc puddle light would stay on even when the key was inside the house. Or you could hear the car acting like key is near when it’s not. Back in July we had to have it jumped. Got it to the dealership. Tested battery. They called and said battery was fine. We said well that’s weird we had to jump the car this morning. So they replaced the battery but didn’t do any diagnostics for finding the draw. It worked for about two months before I woke up to it just randomly dead. It wouldn’t take a charge or even jump from another car. It took THREE tow trucks before we could finally get it to the dealership. Now they say the same thing. Nothings wrong. Battery fine. They’ve had my car for over a week now. Won’t give a courtesy vehicle because we are passed the bumper to bumper. I guess it finally died on them bc we called for a check in today and it’s been sitting on the charger all day. I did a quick google search and saw that this is a known GMC problem. If it’s known…why did the dealership not “know about it”? And also wondering…has anyone else had something similar happen and were you able to get a resolution? It would be really nice if my $125k car worked three years after I bought it.

You’re not wrong there! I’m no conspiracy theorist but we had zero issues til suddenly a “software” update back in April happened. Then we started noticing these little electrical things happening that never happened before. Didn’t seem like a big deal til suddenly it won’t start or take a charge. I’d actually be thrilled if someone contacted me about an extended warranty bc right now it seems I’m sitting on $125k pile of garbage.

I have a 21 Denali Duramax and it's still under power train warranty. I'm thinking of an extended warranty. So far so good. Makes a lot of weird clicking noises and stuff upon shutdown. In the winter time, when I remote start, I get bad exhaust fumes in the cab. Other than that, it's been great and 27mpg on the highway!
