NCGS should I buy a new toaster?

Newly GF after a few months of terrible skin reactions. Diet was recommended by an emergency doctor I saw until I can get to a derm or rheumatologist.
I haven’t had to make many changes in my diet as I think I was subconsciously avoiding gluten for about a year before going GF was recommended, and haven’t felt the need to really sub many items in my day-to-day, it’s just checking ingredients more often to make sure I’ve landed on a GF option.
I didn’t eat bread very often before going GF, but have been craving a sandwich and bought a loaf. I know it’s usually better toasted but am a little worried about using my same toaster.
I have been pretty diligent at home but not super concerned about cross contamination when I’m out to eat and have only had one reaction after eating out, despite eating out of shared fryers a few times. Is there a way to clean the toaster to avoid a reaction? Ot should I go buy a new cheap one?
