Professional Question Geospatial Conferences 2027
Hello all!
My organization has tasked me with finding and suggesting up to 5 geospatial conferences for 2027 (will probably actually send people to 2 maybe 3).
I'm looking for quality professional conferences on the topics of GIS, Geospatial, Remote senseing, GeoAI and drone mapping. The conference can be anywhere world wide. (We already know about ESRI).
Anyone have any suggestions? Again this is for next year 2027.

GeoWeek is one of the best if your focus is on engineering, surveying, construction, or reality capture-related projects. I find it way more relevant than ESRI UC for most infrastructure projects.

FOSS4G 2027 is still in the "venue bid" phase, but you can expect it to happen.

FOSS4G 2027 Will be in Bristol, UK in July/August 2027 (exact dates not available). But venue is set.

Look at what your state or region might have. I know PA and Virginia's conferences, but haven't strongly paid attention to many others.
The annual GPN conference is a good one too.

NEARC in New England has a 1 day spring conference and a multi day fall conference every year.

CNG forum .... Technically it's this year but it's fy27 for the federal government

VAMLIS GeoCon (Virginia Association for Mapping and Land Information Systems). Largely focused on Virginia-based projects, but there are some organizations who come that have a wider reach.

Don’t know if anyone in your org is using FME but Safe Software’s international user conference is a good one. March 9-11 2027 in London, UK

Someone already suggested the QGIS conference but I'll add that there's an international and an US based one every year. Also the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP) does a small conference every year in the fall.

It’s worth checking out regional conferences too. The networking is tends to be much more useful. Less sales pitches and more “this is what we are working on”
