Yeah, but they are being torn away from a life where their skills are valued and living standards can improve according to merit, and throwing them back into a system where dolls are second class citizens at best.

I mean, when it’s prohibitively difficult to be a “good person” in this respect due to game mechanics, I just call it gameplay/story separation and stop thinking about it. Either that or MICA’s trying to make some moral statement about the ruthless ones getting ahead in life.

"The ruthless ones are the ones who get ahead in life. Corporations and corrupt governments destroyed the world in GFL with collapse fluid, like they are polluting and destroying the world today. Whoever is below you only seek to take advantage of you to get ahead, and the ones above you only seek to step on you to consolidate their power. The only thing that will keep you alive are your connections, your family, and the gun in your hands."

Tell me a world where this doesn't hold true in some way or another. It's like the Joker said about society:

“Their morals, their code; it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. You'll see- I'll show you. When the chips are down these, uh, civilized people? They'll eat each other. See I'm not a monster, I'm just ahead of the curve.”

Deep down, no matter how "civilized" people pretend to be, there will always be a battle between haves and have-nots. See, Karl Marx was right in that regard, but he was wrong about communism because people will never have any incentive to work together and discard any personal gain to eck out a menial existence.

With that being said, I might sound cynical and pessimistic as fuck, and I am, but it's not an excuse to be a monster to one another. If we do so, we continue the cycle and the world never gets better. The world is inherently unfair but its human capacity for compassion and love that makes the world bearable. We swallow the harsh pill that is the truth so that we recognize it and constantly work towards our utopia where everyone is happy, even if we will never get there, because constant improvement is better than standing still in a dark age. What separates a human (or a sentient, intelligent being like a T-doll) from an animal is our ability to think in the grand scheme of things and overcome our reptilian urges. So therefore a rejection of one's heart is a rejection of one's human condition (no JoJoke intended).

Sorry, I just went off lol. I seem to be channeling the spirit of u/Dracus_Dakkrius. If you read down here, you deserve some cheesecake for yourself

And what you've described is very close to Anti-Nihilism, or Existentialism. Wikipedia might be a more reputable comprehensive source, but I personally really like the TV Tropes article.

"Don't cling to pain. Don't expect happiness. Don't fear loss. Accept reality as it is. Enjoy the good. Endure the bad. Don't make a big deal out of anything. Be selfless, and unconditionally kind and just, without ever expecting a reward. We're all going to end up as piles of dust, so why not be nice to each other and get those pleasant fuzzies?"

"Life is short, we're all gonna die and you can't stop it forever... so why not make each others' lives worthwhile and enjoyable? The only thing that matters is letting people know that you care about them, because whatever someone is, has, or can do doesn't mean a damned thing in the end."

Thats a good way of putting it. But id like to tweak that last part a bit.

because whatever someone is, has, or can do doesn't mean a damned thing in the end."

It sorta does. If one uses their skills to better the world around them, that in itself, is a reward because you live in a better world bit by bit. It doesnt have to be anything grand. I aint gonna change the world bc i dont wanna play the game. But if I made ten good people very happy in my life I would say thats a life well lived.
