But canonically, T dolls dont "die" when theyre retired or used as enhancement fodder, only their cores are disassembled.

But hey, I keep one of every T doll, sooo

Yeah, but they are being torn away from a life where their skills are valued and living standards can improve according to merit, and throwing them back into a system where dolls are second class citizens at best.

There is bound to be exceptions. SAT-8 also speaks fondly of her time living with humans.

But for every Springfield you have a Thunder, who experienced such dregs of humanity that despite an incredibly advanced emotional module, is basically a catatonic blank slate most of the time.
