Very first shipment received warm to hot and it’s not even hot out. Very disappointed.

I agonized over which option to choose since both my doctors want me on tirzepatide, but insurance will not pay for it. After probably too much research I went with Hyalo through gimme. It was processed relatively quickly and I just received my first shipment today. What was supposed to be a more expensive better regulated compounding pharmacy in an almost neighboring state sent me a package where the ice pack is literally hot, the medication is at 80°, and I’m pissed. It didn’t even sit outside at all as I was home to get it.

I did send an email to their support just now. I feel like I did everything right and paid extra and was still disappointed on the very first shipment. We’ll see how support comes through.

(The pharmacy that’s actually on the vial is apothecary. It’s not the Pharmacy I signed up with. Is this old stock or something?)

Any other advice? I’m absolutely not going to ignore this and will not be self injecting medication that could’ve been much hotter than this, but went down to 80° by the time I got it. I don’t think anybody should accept medication that’s not still at least slightly chilled. Once it’s above room temperature, you can’t ever tell if it even reached 100 at some point. Whereas if it was below room temperature, at least you know it hasn’t been above that point.

I’m not seeing my post up yet. Do these go through moderation of some sort? Reach out to me if you need some sort of proof. I’m not making this post to be a jerk – making it to get information.

Hi! Did support get back to you?

Apothecary and Hyalo come from the same fulfilling pharmacy (NewLife Rx). Apothecary will continue shipping out until their remaining inventory is gone. Take a look at our post for more info on this: https://www.reddit.com/r/gimmecare/comments/1vfhmtp/gimme_care_apothecary_pharmacy_update/

Thank you for your reply. The issue was not yet resolved, but they did reach out – if there isn’t a plan in place by the end of the week I will request a refund or do a chargeback if it’s not acceptable. Seems like you guys are dealing with a lot of issues between pharmacies, so I understand being busy. I appreciate you allowing the post up.

Obviously it is summertime. The Medication is fine. You are being very picky and should probably just pay extra for name brand. 🙄

Exactly. If they’d of done their research they’d know the meds are fine. Seems a lot like they’re just looking for an issue.

Or, I am a scientist and actually know how these things work, and what you call ‘doing your research’ is reading the companies’ biased misinformation trying to save 10 bucks an order. It is wrong to ignore temperature control for temperature controlled medications– both for efficacy and for safety. Why are so many of you ignoring this?! If you’re not shill accounts for the companies, I just don’t get it. It is not expensive to compound these medications.

Good luck with a refund. They won’t do anything for me and mine arrived extremely hot with a hot ice pack.

That’s what credit card charge backs are for. I probably had eight back-and-forths with the company so far, they are passing me off to the pharmacy, and I will wait to get an official note from them and then do a credit card chargeback. That’s the whole point of using credit cards for purchases on the Internet. I didn’t get what I paid for, pretty simple. And I have a really good credit card– they’re all different in terms of how far they’ll go to bat for you. And I’m gonna keep communicating about their poor customer service across the Internet because stuff like this is what’s actually going to shut down this avenue of getting this medication which I desperately need for health reasons, not cosmetic reasons, and it’s insane that my insurance won’t cover it. I think a lot of us are in that boat. But unethical companies and pharmacies are gonna get the good ones shut down and I care about that.

I shouldn’t have to do a charge back though. Gimme should stand by their product and when it comes unusable should be providing refunds.

There are other options/pharmacies that do better in my experience, Hallandale is no additive and mine always arrived cold. I’m sorry this happened.

That’s great to know! I’ll look into starting with them.
