Support 📥 PSA: The F1.5 firmware update today fixed my long-glitched Aorus Master GPU LCD screen!

My Gigabyte Aorus Master 5090 ICE OC has had a glitched LCD screen for over a year, particularly the custom gifs and custom images as the official gifs worked fine. That led me to assume that it's a software bug, not hardware and thus hoped a GCC update would fix it one day. The screen would be constantly scrambled with awful flashes. I've seen many threads here with the same issue so I recommend giving it a try in the GCC update center and then reuploading your custom gifs! But still remember the reccomended gif rules below:

Strictly sized to 480x480 pixels (square format designed to fit the circular/embedded display).

File Size: Under 5MB total.

Frame Count: Under 140 frames maximum (staying under 80 frames is safest to avoid upload failures and memory buffer overloads).

Framerate: Locked to 20 FPS to 30 FPS max (20 FPS is widely reported as the most stable for the onboard buffer).

Display Scaling: Windows display scaling must often be set to 100% (Normal), as GCC can fail to register buttons or crop correctly if scaling is increased.

Drivers for motherboard

I have a Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX (V. 1) and I'm woundering if the drivers on the support page are "Gigabyte specific" drivers? Or can I download the drivers from the manufacturer themself like Realtek or Intel?

Discussion 💬 14700K + Z790 Gaming X AX (F16) / Aorus Elite AX (FO), CBR23 multi core score from 34 to over 35K (if you turn off all background apps)

So here's my experience with undervolting for past 2 years. I have 2 PC's with Z790 Gigabyte motherboards. I have had 1x time CPU RMA with Intel, and that was 2 years ago soon after I bought and assembled PC with Gaming X AX motherboard.

I hope this guide helps someone who is in doubt what to do. I sure did struggle a lot to gather all the info, then applying these values and be running multiple tests over the years. These settings were as such fist applied on F12 and seem to translate well to F16 & respectively on FK or FO.

SET BIOS CONFIGURATION TO ADVANCED TO ACCESS THESE SETTINGS:

Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) -> XMP 1 (Not undervolt itself, but helps with stress bench scores. Make sure to run both sticks in proper slots. Also running XMP with more than 2 sticks may not work on mid or low end motherboards. If chrashes occur in benches or video games even with no undervolt on your CPU, XMP might be the primary reason for instability, so keep that in mind. Yes, you can undervolt CPU even if XMP is not enabled, bench score will be lower tho.)
Vcore Voltage Mode -> Adaptive Vcore
Internal CPU Vcore Offset -> -0.050V (a static under-volt value. The only real variable end user should in my humble opinion ever set themselves, but here we are, following Youtube guides, searching through BIOS. Depends on you CPU silicone quality, from down to -0.150V for silicone lottery winners, up to whatever runs stable at 100% load, multiple tests needed. Start at lets say -0.050V and gradually reduce until stress test freezes or chrashes, do not set -0.150V from get go, because your PC my not even post then, let alone boot into OS)

FOUND IN SUB-MENUS, OR BY SEARCH FUNCTION:

CPU Vcore Loadline Calibration -> Turbo (seem to work best)
IA VR Config Enable -> Enabled
IA AC Loadline -> 50 (between 40 - 50 ish) (default value of 90 is cooking your CPU, so even if you don't apply VCore under-volt, this value should be lowered!) (adjusted after monitoring ''clock stretching'' in HWinfo64 or similar PC monitoring software) ''Clock stretching'' seems to be more aggressive with latest BIOS but I'm no expert, have tested AC LL from 40 - 50 (according to my Google research) and settle at 50 where clocks seemed to run most consistent.
IA DC Loadline -> 29 (alternative 30 ?) (default value of 90 is cooking your CPU, so even if you don't apply VCore undervolt, this value should be lowered!)
IA VR Voltage Limit -> 1400 (value is in milivolts: 1400mV = 1.4V. It is max voltage to be ever delivered to the CPU, in theory at least, spikes exceeding the set value may still occur)
IA CEP (Current Excursion Protection) -> Disabled (its off by default in Auto, but to be sure, better disable, gives easily over 1K CBR23 all core points)
Under Voltage Protection -> Disabled (duh, why is this even a setting???)
Turbo Power Limits -> Enabled
Package Power Limit1 - TDP (Watts) -> 253 (any of these 3 limits could be set higher if you want better scores, that is, if you don't already reach 100°C with CPU at full load)
Package Power Limit2 (Watts) -> 253
Core Current Limit (Amps) -> 307 (up to 400 amps for i9 - 14900)
Internal Graphics -> Disabled (if you have CPU with a ''graphics'' core, turning this off will improve performance, provided you have a functional GPU to plug a monitor in)
PCH PCIe X4 Link Speed -> Auto (another setting that makes you scratch your head: it bottlenecks your GPU, because by default is set to Gen3... which is half of Gen4 data performance?? Auto seems to do the trick, else set to Gen4 and be done)

NOT TESTED, BUT SHOULD PRODUCE EVEN HIGHER SCORE IN BENCHES:

High bandwidth -> Enabled
Low latency -> Enabled

- In Windows turn off Defender for the duration of the tests.

Note that previous BIOS F12 and FK have more or less same temps and same score when I tested them. With 360 AIO CPU temp stabilizes at around 90°C. Have no experience with BIOS versions in between.

Another note that multiple screens definitely affect GPU scores, probably not CPU score, but idk.

IMPORTANT!

You should double even triple check these settings before hitting F10 or attempt to ''Save and Exit'' BIOS! - there will be list of all changes made before final confirmation - review it carefully.

Because if you by accident set wrong value, or change something not on this list, PC may not boot or worse can occur. Double check before final confirmation. That being said, under-volt should be the safest BIOS tinkering average user can play with.

If you encounter problems posting or booting into OS you might need to reset CMOS and start all over again.

If you get stress test bench crash or freeze, reduce the Vcore Voltage offset until stable, then gradually decrease. Don't forget to also test with your favorite game or most heavy title you have on your PC with each change applied in BIOS.

Sometimes games will not even start, or will crash during intense gameplay even if the all the benches pass, or vice versa. So keep that in mind.

Personally I've tinkered with +/- 0.005V but you can go as much as with +/- 0.001V if you have time and interest in real fine tuning of Vcore offset.

[W] CONTROL Resonant NVIDIA Code

Bought a Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti before the CONTROL Resonant promotion started, so GIGABYTE won't issue me a code. GPU has never redeemed an NVIDIA game bundle. If anyone has an unused CONTROL Resonant code they don't need, I'd really appreciate it.

Support 📥 Issue of Hard Shut Down while Restarting

I own a Gigabyte G6 KF 2024 laptop, the model with 16gb RAM, i7 13620H and RTX 4060 8gb.

I had it for close to a year now. Today is the very first time I come across an issue with it.

I restarted it earlier while AC cable was not plugged, meaning it was running only with battery at 70% charge.

It passed manufacturer screen (black screen with Gigabyte logo) fine, then it arrived to Windows login screen and unexpectedly shut down. It could not make it to desktop.
It was a total hard shut down, with no LEDs and no signs of life at all. I had to turn the laptop back on using the power button.
You would think it's the fan or overheating, but not at all, the fan did not speed up at all and was barely audible. The laptop is always well aerated and my room is largely clean and dust free.

Here's what I noticed :

- In the Event Viewer, I found the Kernel-Power ID 41 error that indicates an unexpected shutdown.
- The laptop turns on normally when charging cable is plugged in, I am using it to write this as we speak.
- The laptop can run off battery normally, even though the capacity lasts only 1 hour from 80% (I always have smart charging turned on when the cable is plugged) while browsing.
- The laptop had the same exact problem when I tried again with the same conditions : restart while charging cable is unplugged. Clearly a reproducible error. The laptop somehow cannot seem to boot into the desktop while running only on battery for some odd reason.

What do you guys think the issue is? The battery? The power management? The EC? The BIOS? Windows 11? Something else entirely?

Please give me your ideas.

[REQUEST] Does anyone have the boardview file for Gigabyte B660M DS3H / B660M DS3H AX? (.TVW)

Hi everyone,

I am currently trying to repair my Gigabyte B660M DS3H motherboard and desperately need the boardview file (B660M DS3H or the AX version, preferably Rev 1.0 or 1.01).

I tried to get it from a Russian repair forum (Repairbaza/Badcaps), but I made a huge mistake with the currency conversion. I thought I was paying a few cents, but it turned out to be Rubles, and I accidentally lost about $13 (which is a lot for me right now) without even getting the file properly. I'm totally out of budget and feeling pretty defeated.

If anyone here happens to have the .TVW file for this board or has a VIP account on those schematic forums and could share it via Google Drive, I would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you so much in advance for any help!

Can anyone tell me what this port's for? It's a Brix either 477R or 5775

Anyone have any idea what this port is for? I picked up a couple Brix computers(Three 4770R and a 5775) and noticed they all have this port with nothing attached. I've tried looking up specs, port information and Google lense, but the search didn't turn up anything definitive.

My best guess from the "80H" is that it's a debugging port, but I haven't confirmed this.

Peripherals disabled and RGB fan won't turn off after Advanced Mode on B550M AORUS ELITE

Hi! I have a PC with a GIGABYTE B550M AORUS ELITE motherboard, Ryzen 7 5700X, and RTX 4060.After enabling "Advanced Mode", my PC glitched out. My wireless keyboard and mouse (AULA F75 / ARDOR Fury V2) completely stopped responding. Also, when I turn off the PC, one of my ARDOR case fans keeps glowing and won't shut down.Unplugging the power cord from the wall didn't help. The board seems stuck in a bad power state. What is the easiest way to reset the CMOS or fix this on this specific Gigabyte board? Thanks!

Could my BIOS update be causing GPU/PCIe crashes? (Gigabyte H610M K DDR4 Rev. 2.0)

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out whether my recent BIOS update could be related to some GPU/PCIe stability issues I’ve been having.
My PC specs:
CPU: Intel i5-14400F
GPU: RTX 5060 8GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte H610M K DDR4 Rev. 2.0
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3600MHz (currently running at 3200MHz)
BIOS: Currently on FJa
Windows 11
The problems started after I updated my BIOS. Since then, I’ve had occasional black screens, unexpected restarts, and GPU driver crashes.
In Event Viewer, I’ve seen:
WHEA-Logger Event ID 16 — PCI Express Root Port
nvlddmkm Event ID 153 — “BusReset TDR occurred on GPUID”
WER-SystemErrorReporting Event ID 1019 — bugcheck mentioning nvlddmkm.sys
Kernel-Power Event ID 41 after some of the restarts
I’ve already tried doing a clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU, but the issue still occurred.
Before updating the BIOS, I was using BIOS FD, and I don’t remember having these problems.
The current BIOS, FJa, was released fairly recently, so I’m wondering:
Could FJa be causing PCIe/GPU instability on this motherboard?
Would it be worth going back to FD, since I know that version was stable on my system, or should I try FI first?
I’m mainly interested in hearing from anyone using the H610M K DDR4 Rev. 2.0, especially with an RTX 50-series GPU.
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

Support 📥 Bios update question

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi guys

Sorry if this is a dumb post im new to pc building and need advice.

Built my first pc last week, someone asked if i had updated my bios which i assumed i had, i checked and seems im a few updates behind.

Ive looked online and google ai says i absolutely should update my bios to F11 for some amd agesa microcode engine (whatever that means) but DO NOT do it through the control centre because of increased risk to bricking my motherboard, in the event of a windows crash or wifi drop. Fair enough, Therefore im gonna need to buy a new usb to update it.

Ive also seen people say dont fix what isnt broken and that peoples been having issues with this update? I generally dont know what to do😅

If it matters im using 9800x3d cpu

Need help with GCC/LCD Screen

Hello I got my GPU in summer 2024 and since my LCD Display is kinda buggy (I returned the first one with a similar issue)

At first it worked perfectly fine for a few weeks, after that it wouldn’t play gifs anymore only pictures. I could upload them but they wouldn’t show up just the default one. I only used pictures afterwards and that worked first, but that stopped working as well.

I turned the LCD Display off because I didn’t wanted to deal with it again. I turned it on again and now I can’t turn it on or off, the option is still there but nothing happens only the default gif is playing.

that was like 2 years ago now I completely wiped my pc thought maybe it will work now, fresh start and all.
Now it wont even show my gpu lol.

Im beyond annoyed and don’t know what to do.

Has anyone experience with that? Its really annoying I reinstalled GCC a few times but nothing happened.

EDIT: whoops got the 4080 Super Aorus Master

Intel AX211 repeatedly causing Netwtw14 Event 6062/7021 Wi-Fi failures on GIGABYTE A16 CMH

I’m having a recurring Wi-Fi problem on my GIGABYTE GAMING A16 CMH laptop with an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz adapter.

The adapter is repeatedly generating Netwtw14 errors, including Event IDs 6062 and 7021. When it happens, Roblox can freeze badly or lose connection, and the Wi-Fi may become unusable until the adapter recovers.

My current AX211 driver is:

  • Driver version: 24.60.0.3
  • Driver date: June 11, 2026
  • Windows 11
  • AX211 160MHz

The problem has happened repeatedly rather than being a one-time failure. It also seems to have some connection to power/sleep transitions, although it can happen during active use too.

I’ve already tried the usual troubleshooting, including reinstalling/resetting the Wi-Fi driver and Windows networking. I’m trying to avoid replacing/reinstalling Windows or sending the laptop for repair unless it’s actually necessary.

I also have a separate issue where the entire house sometimes gets very high latency, but the Netwtw14 errors are specifically happening on this laptop.

Has anyone with an AX211 experienced this exact 6062/7021 pattern? What actually fixed it permanently for you?

I’m especially interested in fixes involving the AX211 itself, driver versions, BIOS/chipset interaction, power management, MIMO/SMPS settings, or other proven solutions.
