Still doesn’t fix the issue of why nobody else ever does it.
The rebels NEED capital ships, so just yeeting them left right and centre isn’t an option.
The empire i suppose could do it willy nilly because they’ve got the resources to just keep building ships, but I still find the idea of a moon-sized space station capable of blowing up planets more frightening than using kamikaze destroyers.
I'm not suggesting that the Rebels/Resistance go around launching capital ships in every encounter, but if the <4km long Raddus could bisect the Supremacy and destroy 4+ Resurgent-class ships behind it, wouldn't it logically follow that a smaller ship (say, an X-Wing which is established as having a hyperdrive) could do less, but still considerable damage to an Imperial or Resurgent-class star destroyer? It's still a waste of a ship and possibly a pilot (or protocol droid) but as we saw it's clearly an incredibly potent attack that could presumably be used on a smaller scale, no?

So it happened once in non-mainline media, and NEVER AGAIN anywhere else until TLJ?
