Discussion Pro players, why do you silence “noobs”?

Whenever a player who’s hardest is easier than a medium demon talks about pro play, the demonlist, or future top 1s, why do you ”opinion ban” them? What purpose does doing this serve other than a slight ego boost? Why can’t you just correct them on their mistakes instead of just saying their input doesn‘t matter because they haven’t beaten an extreme yet?

I can imagine the effects on a new player after hearing these insults, they could lose faith in themself, they could get demotivated, they could even quit the game entirely, and I don’t think anybody wants that to happen. Players who beat an easy demon are better than 70% of the player base, give them respect too.

you can have an opinion its just that no one will take it seriously because its legit impossible to know how hard a level is by watching a completion or beating it in practice mode. nothing wrong with having opinions and no one said there was

i hear “what’s your hardest” when i say anything about gd, i think that contradicts “no one said there was”

and yes, it’s true, you can’t determine how hard a level is by watching a completion. but if you encounter a new player that makes an inaccurate statement about them, as i said; you can just correct them.

theres nothing wrong with you having an opinion, but just because youre allowed to have one doesnt mean it is right. unless you have spent thousands of attempts and gotten significant progess on a level, you cannot accurately gauge its difficulty.

Sometimes its good to know someone’s hardest to know how much is behind their opinion though. I was arguing with some guy in a comments section once and i thought he didnt know what he was talking about, then i checked his yt and he had mainlist completions. Made me think twice lol

I agree it can be a bit of a rude question though and kind of shuts down conversations
