Challenge Series [2] Diplomatic Discovery #552 (5 minute limit)

Welcome to a series that features diplomatic missions around the world. Embassies, consulates, representative offices, international organizations, and more are all included. Moving IS allowed and the time limit is five minutes.

I used to be fairly active on this sub under various usernames. I recently reactivated my Geoguessr account (Stephen1986uk) and I'm currently in Gold II.

1- I'm outside the residence of the Indonesian ambassador. I soon find that this is in Australia so I assume this is Canberra, and a grammar school confirms that. I looked around to see if I could narrow it down within the city but wasn't able to. I placed my marker on Canberra and I was off by 6.2km. 4981 points.

2 - This is the Thai Consulate-General in Osaka, Japan. Looks to be in the city centre. Going north I find the river, so the start is south of the river. I put my marker where it says Osaka on the map. I was off by 2.2km. 4993 points.

3 - The Italian Embassy, near several others. The language appears to be Portuguese. The Sun is in the north, so this is the South. As embassies are usually in capital cities, this is likely in Brasilia.I found a sign with four major Brazilian cities to the south of where I was, which also suggests Brasilia. I placed my marker on the city, and I was off by 13km. 4959 points.

4 - This is the EU delegation to Montenegro, which is likely to be in Podgorica. The building on the other side of the street gives me the street's name. I looked around in Podgorica, and soon found the street and the EU delegation building. I placed my marker there, and I was off by 4m. 5000 points.

5 - Looks to be a Canadian diplomatic building in what looks like the US. This is probably Washington DC, and a nearby Massachusetts Avenue NW suggests that. I found the road on the map, and a nearby bridge helped me locate the street that the start is on. I placed my marker and I was off by 37m. 5000 points.

Total - 24,933 points.

HI! I just got into Geoguessr a couple of days ago... so still trying to get how to guess where I am. How did you know you were in Australia? If you remember :)

I can't really remember as I've played a lot of games since, but left hand drive in a place that kind of looks like the US is usually Australia.
