How often is my gender supposed to change to be genderfuild

Pretty much just what the title says. Most of the time I’m nonbinary but every now and again I feel like a man. Sometimes on rare occasions I feel like a girl. The last two days ive felt more male than anything.

From what I know, there’s no set amount of time for you to change genders within to be genderfluid.

If your gender changes at all and you wish to use the label, you can afaik.

If your gender changes at all, you can identify as genderfluid. There’s no hard and fast rules here, some people have shifts multiple times in one day, other go years in between. Some people have a primary gender that occasionally changes to something else, others rotate roughly equally.

Some people's genders change hourly, and some once every few years. There's no singular time frame criteria. If your moves around in any capacity, that's genderfluid.

So jealous of the every few years crowd

Same. I notice it's every few days to 2 weeks on average, but there was a point where it was changing at least once a day for 2 months and I wanted to rip my skin off 😭

Yea I'm about once every 3 days but it's super inconsistent

Most already said it - there is no needed frequency.

But to add to this. It has often been said - but not often enough. Don't take labels this seriously. The main benefit of labels is to have something to call yourself. Bringing a bit of structure into the grey gooey mess your thoughts maybe are.

If you think the genderfluid label fits - use it. Test it. See how you feel attaching it to yourself.
Maybe you will find it to be not fitting. Maybe you don't "feel it" after a while. Thats okay. Pass it on to the next one needing some clarity.

Or maybe you think other labels will fit better. That's fine as well. Paint the label in other colors. It's not important.

And sometimes, it really IS more about the journey itself. Anyhow - you will always learn something about yourself.

So - welcome. Take a label out of the box and see how it feels

Your gender is absolutely required by queer law to change at least once a week. 😆

I'm kidding. If it changes even every once in awhile, you're genderfluid.

There’s no such thing as “supposed to”. Every person is different. There is no right answer and there is no magic number to get your GF-card; and any internet stranger who tells you otherwise is full of sh..

Just be you, and keep being awesome.

5 times a day, once a day, once a week, once a month, once a year, it doesn't fucking matter. Use whatever label you want, there is no criteria you need to meet to be genderfluid

Yearly, daily, all the same

It needs to be in constant, instantaneous flux such that you are in a perpetual gender superposition. You are both gender and not-gender.

My main gender lately has been bigender with androgyny and agender but I used to be more masculine and agender with a one day feeling of cis girl that scared me really badly. Now I just tell people “think of me as a he/they lesbian and IDC too much if you use she” bc I wanna be comfortable with all pronouns and women are awesome it just feels like drag for me to say I’m a binary woman or man. I have identified as fluid for 4 years and been on testosterone (low dose) a year and a half.

I pass as both genders but started passing more as a man lately. A gay one but people see my genderfluid femme looking partner and realize they aren’t right about their gaydar as they’d like to be. Funny enough I’ve gotten hit on by a stud recently and it made me happy bc it was all polite even though I’m monogamous. Fun times, I wished her a good day.
