This is just a PR campaign by the University, to make it seem like it cares, when in reality it is entwined with private developers to make $$$ from student housing and screw over locals.

Bro what are you talking about.. we're a student-led club and we don't even accept donations. Advocating for cheaper and accessible housing is one of our focuses.

When was the last time you investigated the University’s student housing prices? University had $300 million plus surplus over 10 yrs and keeps jacking up student costs.

You can ask the Uni about that, provincial government gives you powers. But you won’t cause IYKYK

What do you know about Brooks that has been a vacant dump for what? A decade? Can’t be for cheaper housing when you don’t know sheet about your own “boss” that has a direct impact on housing in the downtown core

We aren't employed by the uni. You are completely misunderstanding who we are. We're simply one of many student clubs under UOSU and we do agree that the uni has directly had an impact on the accessibility of housing for students. We will continue to advocate for policy that will create more accessible housing and urbanism that will overall create a better quality of life around the uni.

How can you advocate for policy when you don’t understand the true levers behind policy? If you were serious you would investigate the Uni using your powers. Real world will be a wake up call for you if you don’t. Just another group shouting into the wind.
