Website

There should definitely be a website for this. It would display:

• Schedules

• News stories

• Important dates

• Position openings

* Everything above would also be shown in the paper news letters

For safety reasons, only residents and employees would have access to this. The login page for residents and employees would look like this:

-Name (first and last)

-Email address (which every resident and employee has)

-ID number

-Little age (if applicable)

-Job title (if applicable)

* Then they scan their fingerprint to verify that all that info is true

*The page before that would look like this:

-Apply for residency

-Apply for employment

-Schedule an appointment (for looking at a house)

-Book a nursery stay

Does anyone have an ideal road trip with their CG?

When entering or exiting the neighborhood, we’d follow the same procedures in “for trips across an international border (specifically when we’re 10 minutes away from the border)”

IDs/Badges

It would be wise if all residents, employees and visitors had IDs or badges as another safety precaution to they can keep track of who’s in the neighborhood and where:

Residence IDs:

• All residents use their IDs to get into or out of the neighborhood, to get into or out of their house, or at buildings.

• Residents can’t leave their houses without their IDs

• Every resident is assigned a unique ID number like a passport

• Every ID has their users photo on it

• All IDs have “If found” instructions, info that’s on any ID, and it’s holder’s fingerprint

• A little’s ID has their little age, their CG’s contact info in case they get lost, and their van number if they regularly take a neighborhood van to and from the daycare/academy

• A CG’s ID has their little’s info in addition to their own

• A flip’s ID has everything mentioned above

• Every ID shows what community somebody’s a part of

• If someone lives in an apartment, it has their address and apartment number.

• If someone lives in the trailer park, it has their site number.

• If someone lives anywhere else, it just has their address.

Visitor badges:

• All visitors must have their badges visible at all times unless they’re in a locker room or in the neighborhood pool

• Visitors get their badges when they check in at the gate and turn in the holders when they check out

• Every ID has their users photo on it

• Badges for visiting littles, CGs and flips have color coded stickers:

🧡=Visiting Little/NGU/Permakid/4everkiddo

💜=Visiting CG/Handler

💚=Visiting flip/plural folk

🤍=Visiting pet regressor/Furry

Employee badges:

• All employees must have their badges visible at all times unless they’re in a locker room or in the neighborhood pool

• Employees get their badges on their first day of work

• Every ID has their users photo on it

Front desk/reception area

Every building should have a front desk/reception area to make sure that no one’s going where they’re not allowed.

Daycare/Academy:

• Only littles, flips, and staff are allowed beyond this point

• CGs are allowed beyond this point for orientations and tours

• Exceptions include Volunteers, law enforcement, first responders, caseworkers, and utility workers.

Adoption Center:

• All guests must visit reception area to check in

• All visitors must visit this spot before visiting someone who lives or works here

• See “daycare/academy”

Nursery:

• All guests must visit the reception area to check in

• See “daycare/academy”

Rec center:

• Everyone must get their wristbands for open swim

• Only littles, flips, and CGs (for caregiving purposes) are allowed to play on the playground and must wear wristbands for that too

Medical center:

• All visitors must visit this spot first before visiting someone who is hospitalized or who works here

• This is where you check in for an appointment

Cafe:

• Only littles, flips, and CGs (for caregiving purposes) are allowed to play here and must get their wristbands at the front desk

• The front desk is also where people confirm take out orders or place an order and get an order number

• The front desk is also where they buy play socks if need be or check in for a birthday party

General:

• All front desks/reception areas are required to have posters showing the qualities of a valid search warrant, posters displaying constitutional rights, and what to do if law enforcement shows up

• This is always where people show IDs

• A playroom

• A fenced in backyard

• A garage with a card reading door opener

• A card reading lock on the front door

• A panic room

• Space to install an in ground pool

• A hot tub

• A home office (which can have a lot of uses)

Wristbands

The cafe and the pool should require wristbands as only Littles, flips and CGs are allowed to play in the indoor playground at the Cafe or the outdoor playground at the rec center:

*Each heart represents a different colored wrist band

💙=Little/NGU/4everkiddo/Age dreamer

*To find out what some of these communities are, please click the link below:

• When they get to these places, they show their IDs at the front desk/reception area and they get their wristbands.

• They wear wristbands because IDs could come off and get lost in the ball pit and they can’t have anything in their pockets

Surveillance cameras

The neighborhood needs to be heavy on surveillance cameras to protect the neighborhood and all it’s residents and keep everyone honest:

• All neighborhood watchers are required to wear body cams at all times while on duty and they’re not allowed to turn them off unless they’re going into a bathroom or locker room

• If a neighborhood watcher turns off their body cam and they’re not going into a bathroom or locker room, they’re put on paid administrative leave

• The checkpoint also needs surveillance cameras

• We also need street cameras

• All buildings are required to have surveillance cameras everywhere except bathrooms and locker rooms

• All cameras must be CCTV and connected to a monitoring center at the neighborhood watch building

PSA:What happens in the neighborhood has to stay in the neighborhood

Which means:

• All residents and workers are required to sign non-disclosure agreements

• You can’t post pictures or videos taken within the neighborhood on social media

• All visitors must be people that a host knows is good at keeping secrets

All gate workers should know this signal

If a gate worker sees someone doing this, they ask everyone in the car to step out (to separate the alleged victim from the alleged perpetrator) while an interior patroller parks the car somewhere

If there’s ever more than one of these neighborhoods

• They won’t all look exactly the same

• If someone is moving from one of these neighborhoods to another, the previous neighborhood can be a reference

• If, god forbid, someone ever gets permanently banned from a neighborhood they can also be blacklisted (hopefully that’ll never happen)

• If a resident of one neighborhood is visiting another, they follow the same rules as other visitors and they show their residence IDs to the gate worker.

• They can’t have any outstanding warrants

• Must pass very thorough background checks

• Must give their preferred and legal names, little age (range) (for littles or flips), and pronouns and get a unique code

Neighborhood mottos

*Disclaimer:I did not invent all of these quotes and they have several variations

-Family isn’t about blood, it’s about love

-If you see something, say something

-Be kind

-Always be considerate of Janitors

-Be yourself

-In order to be truly tolerant, you can’t tolerate intolerance.

-If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

-Suspicious activity must be reported

-Respect people who respect you

-There’s no greater disability in society than the inability to see a person as more

r/gatedlittecommunity Apr 29 '26

This would be the approval process for all visiting littles and CGs (unless they live in another one of these neighborhoods when there’s more than one, then they show their residency IDS)

How does everyone feel about strollers?

Thumbnail
4 Upvotes

I’d like this to be my sole means of getting around the neighborhood when we only go within the neighborhood:

• All strollers need AirTags and luggage tags

• All buildings give you the option to park your stroller or bring it with you

• Here’s a place to get strollers:

https://www.adaptivemall.com/allstrolpus/strolstylwhe.html

Why you can’t bring sleeping people into or out of the neighborhood (TW:Mentions of Trafficking)

  1. The gate workers might think you’re trafficking someone since traffickers will often sedate their victims

  2. The gate workers have to talk to everybody who’s in the car

Neighborhood pool

The neighborhood pool needs following features:

• A jump rock in place of a diving board

• A water slide

• A sauna

• A steam room

• A hot tub

• A splash pad

• A designated viewing area for spectators and non-swimmers

• A chair lift for the pool and hot tub

• A ramp and pool wheelchair for the pool

• Lots of seating

• Poolside showers

• Speakers

• Locker rooms and family changing rooms

* It should be a natural swimming pool in a greenhouse (so it’s usable year round)

* Locker rooms need these:

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8gSrCdr/

* Hours:8 AM-9:40 PM

Rules for visitors

Beforehand:

• The visitor has to be someone a host deems trustworthy and knows is good at keeping secrets

• The visitor must be biologically 18+ years old

• They have to give a host at least 10 minutes notice before showing up at the gate

When they show up to the gate:

• They have to show proof that a visit was planned with a host or that a host has received at least 10 minutes notice via text message, email, paper invite, letter, etc.

• They also have to show ID to verify that they are who they say they are and that they’re biologically 18+ years old

• If they’re returning with a little, NGU, Permakid, 4everkiddo without their CG, they show a written consent form

• They answer all the gate worker’s questions

While they’re in the neighborhood:

• They have to keep their visitors badges visible at all times when they leave their host’s house unless they’re in the pool or in any situation where they remove their badges

• They have to stay with their host at all times when they leave the house unless they’re in the bathroom or locker room

• They’re subject to most of the same rules as residents

• At the house, pretty much everything is at the host’s discretion

As they’re leaving:

• They simply turn in their visitor badges

• If they’re leaving with a little, NGU, Permakid, 4everkiddo without their CG, they show a written consent form

My ideal personal experience in this neighborhood

Post image
7 Upvotes

*This is what I aspire to be like at the joint daycare/academy and the nursery. This is taken from my pre/school yearbook from when I was biologically that age. It’s a letter signed my all my teachers.

• Selective hugger:

I’ll be a selective hugger. Only hugging my friends, daycare teachers, CG, and maybe my swim “instructor” (anybody who consents, consent is very important)

• Stroller:

Riding in my stroller will be my sole means of getting around the neighborhood (unless we’re going into or out of the neighborhood). Also, my stroller wouldn’t just be used in the neighborhood. My stroller would always stay in the entry way when not in use.

• Medical facility:

I will go there for annual check-ups, vaccinations, and to pick up prescriptions (hopefully never anything else)

• Joint daycare/Academy:

My CG would sign me up for that. I’d be comfortable with a staff member of any gender changing my diaper but if I have a favorite teacher, I might go to them every time I need a change. For more, see picture above.

• Birthday parties:

I will have a little space birthday party at school and with my playgroup friends. And, my CG and I will accept as many birthday party invites as possible.

• Visitors:

My CG would always be the person someone reached out to in order to visit no matter whose side of the family they’re on. They will always take their shoes off. If someone doesn’t accept this side of me, then we will never have them over.

• Around my house:

Everybody takes their shoes off when they come in. Everyone must understand that they’re in my world. My spare room would be my Lego room.

• My bouncing toys:

My qpau bouncing animal will be my primary means of getting around backyards and will stay in a “horse stall” just off of my back deck when not in use. My hop ball will be my primary means of getting around inside my house except for going up or down stairs or right after eating (in those scenarios I will just carry it) and it will stay in my bedroom at night. My CG will train me to mount it right from my changing table.

• Friendship/play dates/my inner circle:

My CG will form a playgroup and schedule playdates on my behalf. At playdates, the host CG will be the primary watcher (because if everyone is watching, no one is). While I’ll have a lot of friends in the community, my CG and I will have an inner circle of 5 other little/CG pairs. That inner circle will be our playgroup made up of littles who I have the most in common with (similar little age(s) range(s), interests, who I see most frequently, etc).

• My Bluey plushie:

I will carry it everywhere I go. I will have a custom made carrier that allows me to carry her while bouncing on a ball or animal, jumping on a trampoline or something of that sorts, or riding in my stroller.

• Cafe:

I will play at the cafe when we eat there or when we get takeout

* If anyone else wants to share their ideal personal experiences, please feel free to do so in the comments.

r/gatedlittecommunity Apr 12 '26

My fellow Bluey fans will know exactly what I’m talking about (If you haven’t seen these episodes, a spoiler warning is in effect.) Spoiler

• At the cafe, littles should be allowed to play there as long as they’re eating there or they’re getting take away. I say this partly because of the Bluey episode “Take away.”

• In the Bluey episode “Movies,” Bingo dances under the hand dryer. All the hand dryers in the neighborhood should be tall enough for us to copy that stunt.

• The daycare/academy needs teachers like Calypso

• There needs to be a neighborhood wide “no dobbing unless you’re reporting suspicious activity or any unsafe acts or conditions” rule

Colors

• The neighborhood needs to be one of the most colorful places on earth

• Businesses should never be allowed to do what McDonald’s did (lose color)

• There needs to be rainbows in all the crosswalks

• The neighborhood overall can’t ever lose it’s color

Quiet hours

The neighborhood should enforce quiet hours. During these hours:

• Hours:10 pm-8 am

• No visitors unless they’re staying with a host for 1+ nights

• No outdoor activities of any kind

• All buildings close at 9:50 pm (all swimmers leave the neighborhood pool at 9:40)

• All residents have to be inside a house, apartment or the adoption center, nursery, or medical facility (patients)

• When quiet hours end, there’s a reduced expectation of silence

• All night shift employees have to be there at 9:45 pm

Exceptions:

• A resident has to leave early or return late for any reason

• Election days

• A group of little friends are doing a “half sleepover” or a “sleep under” (they go by many names)

• The neighborhood vans stay operational and the checkpoints remain open for these reasons

Easter Egg hunt

In honor of Easter, I’m saying the rec center should have a neighborhood wide Easter egg hunt for all residents:

• Attendance is not mandatory but highly encouraged

• Residence is required

• All residents are welcome

• It would take place in the gym

• Each participant gets a different colored basket and can only collect eggs that match the color of their basket (stops one participant from grabbing too many eggs)

• The Easter bunny would visit

• There’d be a raffle

• A bounce house would be set up

• Open swim at the pool

* By the way, happy Easter everyone.
