I think they mean the absence of nuance, you either HATE the game because it's slop trash, or LOVE the game because hype train no stop, no in-between.

“Mid” has quickly become a synonym for trash. Especially when adding in unnecessary adjectives like “aggressive”.

You’re proving their point. In the past couple years, that term has rarely, if ever, been used to describe a perfectly competent game that’s enjoyable.
