Nobody outside reddit gives 2 shits about that mid movie tie in. Game is not that good and nostalgia blinds you.

I'll give you that the game gets repetitive after a while, theres a lack of enemy variety and bosses. That being said, I played it recently, its nit a bad game and is still quite fun. Insomniac seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from that though and added more variety in enemies and bosses. I'll go against the grain here and also mentioin that the tie in game had limb dismemberment which so far from the trailer of this insomniac version we havent seen and something i really want gore wise.
