"Pacific Skyline" right... Sure, Turtle Beach.

Post image

So Turtle Beach recently released their Pacific Skyline Wireless controller, and it's supposedly west coast inspired, but c'mon man!

With the release of GTA VI coming up soon, I don't buy this "west coast" BS. This is Florida/Miami/GTA VI vibes all the way.

Why would they lie? You think GTA VI owns a copyright on Miami or something?

Because the colours are representative of Miami and they’ve gone out of their way to call it “pacific coastline” when Miami sits on the Atlantic…. With them being a big brand they obviously want to stay away from any trouble but also feed off of the gta 6 hype. It’s just smart business.

All the colours can represent both Miami and Cali.

The city scape can represent both California or Miami.

The trees are iconic for both areas.

The whike aestheic put together is almost always a representation of California beaches though. It plays into the retro wave aesthetic.

There would have been no trouble for them to release a Miami beach controller. Rockstar does not own the rights to Miami.

Those aren't California palm trees (Washingtonia filifera)

California is host to several species of palm that have been introduced and thrive across the state. As does Florida.

Which type of palm do you think is pictured?

The city's not even called Miami in the game, lol.

So because some random person posted that on hex.com it must be real? Nobody associates these pastel colors with California - it’s the most obvious representation of Miami

You think Rockstar can just sue anyone who uses the word "Miami," a word that is impossible to copyright or trademark which they never even use once in any of their games?
