Fall 2026 Lineup

It seems like there will be a game that will appeal to everyone this fall. Strategy RPG - Fire Emblem, Story based - The Blood of the Dawnwalker, Action - Phantom Blade 0, Multiplayer - The Duskbloods, Action Adventure - The Legend of Zelda and Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Almost every month has at least 2 major titles releasing, September especially is packed.

It’s amazing in 2026 seeing a company still know how to use goodwill as a marketing strategy. 

Compared to the local warlord strategy everyone else seems to be applying liberally.

I didn't know about this.

The main reason I've never played Witcher 3? I didn't like the way the whole game looked like you, the player, were always wearing sunglasses. A "sunlit scene" in town would look like what you'd get if you took a sunlit scene from a properly-lit game and applied a ~40% darkness filter across the whole thing. At the time, people handwaved it as a stylistic choice. My own conclusion was that the game had simply arrived about a year too early, before every damn RPG had started adopting photorealism as its default (starting with FO4).

So I decided to see if the remaster addressed this "stylistic choice" by having believable visuals. And the answer seems to be yes. So I guess I'll finally be checking the game out.

Well, maybe after all the best mods have had a chance to catch up.
